It's not all bad news; the story is quite good. And if you have never seen the first Basic Instinct then you may be excused for thinking it's not a bad movie. Trouble being if you did see the original you'll know the plot as it slowly unfolds. And I mean slowly; 114 minutes is the runtime of this movie something that could easily be reduced by 20 - 30 minutes. I must add that Jerry Goldsmiths original score ...

Advantages: The men will like Sharon Stone Disadvantages: Terrible storyline, terrible acting
...follow up to cult classic Basic Instinct released way back in 1992, 14 years on in 2006 they finally got around to releasing the sequel. The film is basically just a regurgitated version of the first, far superior film and it’s clear that even though this film is no more than 3 years old it still appears very dated. The days for erotic thrillers are far gone, the early 90’s was the time when films like Fatal Attraction captivated audiences and when ... ...be no movie. The first Basic Instinct made her into a global sex symbol and it’s amazing that 14 years on she still has the face and the body of a 25 year old when in reality she was pushing 50. Although Michael Douglas played a believable role in the first film, to my mind it wouldn’t have been the huge success it was if it wasn’t for Sharon Stone. She manages to encapsulate every man’s fantasy with that added hint of danger to top it all off. She ...

Advantages: Yes Sharon Stone gets naked. woooooo... *rolls eyes* Disadvantages: Just tell me who killed who will you?!
...have not seen the first Basic Instinct film, but from what I gather it was a movie that you felt really uncomfortable watching with your grandparents.
Fortunately I don't think this movie will have the same problem. It is more likely that your grandparents will have slipped into some sort of confusion induced comma before she gets to see Sharon Stone doing the dirty stuff.
For those of you wanting to see this JUST to see Sharon Stone naked (that's ... ...here is your review. YES she gets naked and YES she gets it doggy style. Review over. Now let's move onto the details of the plot.
The plot is more confusing than a Mexican dyslexic with a lisp trying to tell you the plot of Mission Impossible using txt speak over msn, and as annoying as if he were doing it with a 56k connection. It will drive you nuts.
I know it's taken me a while to get round to it, but I'm just trying to convey how amazingly ...

Advantages: Sharom Stone Gets Naked, For The Sad Old Men? Disadvantages: Everything Else.
...I havn't seen the original Basic Instinct and i don't know if this one is made easier to understand if you have but i genuingly just think Basic Instinct 2 is a muddle. It really is, i can't even explain what goes on as i don't know. No other film as ever done this to me, i mean, i even got Donnie Darko! I can guarantee if that confused you this is going to kill you at least cause you some mental harm in the long run.
Basically, people die. And ... ...bewilderement. If there's ever a Basic Instinct 3 i am not going to watch it simply to keep myself sane and of good health. I am confident this film has taken 3 years off of my life.
However, it's one of those films isn't it. Like, if you havn't seen it, and your mates have, they're gonna be talking about it and talking about how they didn't understand it. And your going to be left out. I wont recommend it as i don't want man slaughter charges against ...
