Disadvantages: Suddenly stops when you want more action

Band of Brothers (BoB) is an excellent 6 disc (in a tin box) that covers the story of Easy company - a band of Americans who trained together in 1943 and then went on to capture Hilters Eagle Nest in May 1945. Advantages: Superbly filmed and very believeable
Disadvantages: tough to watch in parts, can be a little depressing

Band of Brothers remains one of my favourite TV shows of all time. Its well written, well shot and most importantly its believable. Band of Brothers follows the story of Easy company, an increadible group of paratroopers. The story spans right through from their training, through D-Day, the battle of the bulge and finally the capture of Hitlers Eagles nest. ...war 2 then buy the band of brothers box set. Directed by Steven Spielberg and Tom Hanks. The series follows the men of Easy company from boot camp to VE day. Based on the testimony of real soldiers from the airborne division, it is the closest portrayal of the second world war i have ever watched.
