Advantages: Heartwarming film with good characterisation Disadvantages: Slowmoving at first, but stick with it!
I was off work sick today with a cold and this film really cheered me up. It is about a German woman who leaves her husband in the middle of a road trip and walks to the nearest hotel, in the middle of the desert.
The family who own the hotel have their own problems, and the husband leaves. The film focuses on the relationship between the German woman and the family leading to a heartwarming happy ending.
What I liked about this film was it's originality, ... ...of many other films. The film takes it's time to introduce all of the characters, who all have many layers and aren't sterotypical. You end up really caring about the characters and are genuinely pleased when things turn out well. The actors are brilliant, and manage to convey what is happening in the character's lives, without relying purely on the dialogue.
