...anyway. These films which date back to 1985, with the first offering being Back to the Future, were so much of the day. I have tried not to include any plot spoilers for the uninitiated.

Marty McFly, played by Michael J Fox, in his heyday is still at high school in America. His best friend is the local ageing and eccentric scientist, come loveable nutcase, Doc. Doc has been experimenting ... ...the ultimate in modern travel back in the 80's but all too soon died a death. After money troubles I think the manufacturer disappeared from the scene and the cars became history.
After a series of events Marty ends up back in 1955, in his hometown with his parents, to name a but few, back in their teen years. His presence looks set to destroy any romance they may have and in so doing jeopardises many things, including his birth and very existence ...

Back to the Future
This is the movie which started it all.
Starring in this movie were Michael J. Fox (as Marty McFly), Christopher Lloyd (as Dr. Emmett Brown), Lea Thompson (as Loraine McFly - Marty's mother), Crispin Glover (as George McFly - Marty's father).
Dr Brown and Marty McFly were very close friends, and Dr Brown invented a time machine out of a car (a De Lorean, no less) and during their test drive, ... ...the car, accidently sending him back into time into 1955 - thirty years prior to 1985.
During his time in 1955, Marty meets his parents and interupts their first meeting, therefore interfering with Marty's future - if his parents do not meet and fall in love, then he will never be born.
The rest of the movie is about Marty and Dr Brown trying to get Marty's parents back together and about Dr Brown trying to figure out a way to get the DeLorean ...

BACK TO THE FUTURE
My favourite film of all time
The film has a great start with Marty McFly (Michael J Fox) getting home by holding on to various vehicles whilst being on his skateboard. He then goes to see his friend Dr Emmett Brown - 'Doc' (Christopher Lloyd) a slightly crazy scientist. He has just invented a time machine using a DeLorean car. Whilst there, the Doc gets shot by some Libyan terrorists from whom he stole the plutonium to make ... ...car reaches 88mph it travels back in time to the year 1955 unbeknown to him.
Whilst in 1955, Marty manages to cross paths with his Father and Mother and susequently change the future, which does not include him. He also finds the Doc, convinces him that he's from the future by telling him about the flux capacitor, and that he needs help to get back there - but not before changing the future once again to get his parents to fall in love. The only ...

Back to the Future Trilogy
Back to the Future.
A completely original and brilliantly funny adventure film from the award winning team executive producer Stephen Spielberg and director Robert Zemickis.
By the time you watch the opening sequence of this film you know you are in for a treat.

One of Michael J Fox's best performances, especially singing on stage living out his dream to be a rock star playing Johnny be good! Christopher Lloyd is wonderfully cast in this role as his eccentric friend Emmett Brown bringing a big dose of humour to the film.
This is a great trilogy of family films, which even today 21 years after its release is as fresh as it was then. Its one ...

Only one thing to say. Why are you reading this review instead of buying this collection?! One of the prize DVD's in my collection.

The films is clever, witty, brilliantly realised and a joy to watch time and time again. When you move from the first film to the next two installments you can see just how well the storylines all tie together, especially in the second where 1955 is revisted and the previous plot comines.
