...the 1985, Academy award winning, Back to the Future. Directed by Robert Zemeckis and produced by Steven Spielberg, the films star Michael J. Fox as teenager Marty McFly and Christopher Lloyd as scientist Dr. Emmett L. Brown.
This was one of my all time childhood favourites, and to this day is still in my top ten of all time. It had everything one would want from an action film, action, drama, edge of the seat excitement and comedy. I think most ... ...a sudden he is transported back into time, to November 5, 1955.
Now in the year 1955, Marty accidentally runs into his dad, who is a teenager. He catches his dad spying on his future mother (Lorraine), however being distracted his dad falls from the tree. Meanwhile, Lorraine's dad is driving home and is on the verge of run over Marty's dad, however Marty intervenes and instead gets knocked down by the car, and his dad runs away.
Marty had now changed ...

...culture that people often mistake Back To The Future as a science fiction film, however I tend to disagree, it is more a comedy with a science fiction theme. Released in 1985, and directed by Robert Zemeckis, it's a classic film that all people of its time will remember.

Advantages: First of it's kind - a classic!!! Disadvantages: the sequels will never equal the original masterpiece, but what could?!
...created by director Robert Zemeckis, Back to the future is based upon the theories of time travel and interference with the workings of the space time continuum. Marty McFly, the main character (Michael J. Fox), after having befriended the nutty professor Dr. Emmett Brown (Christopher Lloyd), finds himself a test crash dummy for Doc and his new invention… the Time machine. (A Dolorean of all cars!) To be more precise, the Flux Capacitor is the nerve ... ...with the Dolorean is flung back in time to the fifties and Doc is shot! (Don’t worry, this is only 15 mins into the film, all will be saved! Or so my brother used to tell me!)
When Marty realises what has happened, he knows he must find Doc for him fix to the Time machine (which ran out of fuel on the way to the 50’s) and to help send him back to 1985. He does so, but Doc knows that getting the ‘21 Jigawatts’of power needed to send him back will ...

...oh yeah, a copy of Back to the Future in the player and on the silver screen. For me, this silm was more than just great acting, generous helpings of graphical genius and comedy, it was the cunning culmination of interplay between characters and a driving plot which worked so definitevely. Back to the Future DVD
Back To The Future is a film that sits in the hearts of many as a classic of the 1980s, one of those films that 'they just don't make any more'. It is a time-travelling adventure with some intense and panicky acting from Michael J Fox and some quirky mad scientist behaviour from Christopher Lloyd. Advantages: Hilarious! Disadvantages: nothing really, besides tragic fashion mistakes (it was the 80s remember) and some slightly predictable moments.
I have grown up with Back To The future as one of my favourite films, for as long as I can remember, and nothing has since changed. As a 14 year-old teenager, my friends all base their lives around "oh no, he's coming up behind her"-style horror films, and if I tell them about a seemingly prehistoric film from 1985 about a time machine, they assume I'm going mad. But to tell the truth, the film is less of a complicated sci-fi plot and more of a comedy ... ...think about the movie, one question comes into my head; why isn't this movie a lot more well-known?
The movie is based around a 17 year old teen, Marty McFly (Michael J Fox) who has a nerdy cowardly dad, George McFly, a strict principal and a daunting hardly-straight-A-student school grade record that makes him a "slacker" in his principal's eyes. The only look-ups in his life are his pretty girlfriend Jenny and his crazy mad-scientist-stereotype ...

Back to the Future in a science fiction adventure made in 1985 directed by Robert Zemeckis (who also directed Forrest Gump) and stars Michael J. Fix and Christopher Lloyd.
Marty McFly (Fox) is an ordinary 17yr old, except for one thing; he has a rather eccentric friend, Dr. Emmett "Doc" Brown (Lloyd). One night, he invites him to the local mall in the middle of the night. Marty, being curious, agrees. When he arrives he is met by Doc, who shows ... ...an hour and is hurled back in time to 1955.
Obviously he is very confused, and shocked that Doc was actually telling the truth. While he is there he bumps into his father, makes his mother fall in love with him, and has to get them back together for the "Enchantment under the Sea dance" so they fall in love and eventually conceive him. Along the way, he also manages to invent Rock N' Roll and the skateboard.
This is probably one of the only films ...

...88 mph limit and went back 30 years, to 1955. One of my favourite scenes is where Marty is in Hill Valley and walks into the diner to try and telephone Doc. Unable to get in touch with Doc, he sits down and orders a drink. I love the shot of Marty sat next to this guy, and they are sat in exactly the same way. Next minute, Biff walks in. "McFly."
Both Marty and the person next to him turn to face the door. As Biff walks towards the person sat next ... ...then suddenly, George gets Lorraine back and Marty jumps up and suddenly starts playing again. I love it. Not forgetting, the look on the faces when Marty is rocking out on the guitar.

...some great acting. Back to the Future is a 1985 film staring Michael J Fox as Marty McFly, the high school student who goes, Back to the Future! He is everything you associate with a mad inventor. He has crazy white hair, is very scatty and comes up with some hair brained schemes. ...mulling over quite what makes Back to the Future one of the best fun movies of all time. The story is of Marty McFly (Michael J Fox) a teenager from 1985 accidently sent back in time 30 years by the eccentric doctor Emmet Brown (Christopher Lloyd). Advantages: Classic film. Funny and feel good Disadvantages: The third films pretty poor
Back to the Future is over 15 years old now. I remember it was the first film I saw in the "Point" Cinema at Milton Keynes (the first mulitplex in the U.K. for useless information fans).
I hadn't seen it for years and spent ages tracking it down for a reasonable price. Of course now, it's available in Virgin with the two sequels on a five for £20.00.

Unfortunately, he stops the event that leads to his parents getting together, his Mum's fallen for him and he also has to worry about Biff the guy who is still bullying his Dad in 1985.
It's surprising how well this film holds up to day, the films is still funny, the feel good element is at the max but it never feels ...
