Yes, you know the look. It's the one you dream of having in her eyes when she looks at you. She wants it, she's tired of talk, and she wants somebody (especially Austin) to give it to her. But on top of that, she'll do anything and anyone for the betterment of the ...

Austin Powers, like sex , is never as good the second time around. This film was an above average effort to milk some more ££££ out of the Austin Powers character. Merchandise city! Another excuse to sell the mugs, dolls, posters, t-shirts and all the other mechanise associated with a big budget Hollywood film these days. Back to the film. As a collection of sketches on Saturday Night Live this film would have worked but a 2 hour movie was just too ...

...the catch phrases used by Austin "Danger" Powers ( aka Mike Myers ).
For the one's amongst us who don't know who im talking about, Austin Powers is a spoof James Bond. In this latest offering, he is again fighting his evil nemisis Dr Evil (also played by Mike Myers). In his fight against Dr Evil he comes up against a number of characters, Fat Bastard (Mike Myers again) who is a rather large obscene scotman, who has some lovely habits. also he has ... ...Dr Evil.
"The spy who shagged me", is not as funny as the first film, but included on this DVD, are deleted scenes, behind the scene footage and music videos (Madonna, Lenny Kravitz, Mel G, REM and Green Day).
This DVD is now available for £7.99 (purchased mine from MVC), which makes it well worth a purchase, just for the deleted scenes alone. i dont think i would pay the original full price £24.99, but im sure you will find the discounted price ...

...It is 1999 and Austin Powers is honeymooning with the smashing Vanessa Kensington (Elizabeth Hurley) when he receives an explosive' surprise that returns him to single swinging status. To make matters worse, Dr. Evil has returned to Earth from the frozen recesses of space and is hatching a new diabolical scheme to annihilate the world. It seems Dr. Evil uses a newly developed time machine to travel back to 1969, where he steals Austin Powers' mojo, ... ...Volkswagen Beetle. In the biggest Austin Powers adventure yet, the International Man of Mystery must travel back to the Swinging Sixties, track down his mojo and thwart Dr. Evil's plot to destroy the world. Of course, along the way, Austin meets his match in CIA operative Felicity Shagwell, a fab chick, a hot spy and a fantastic motivation for restoring his libido.
Highly recommended film - enjoy! ...

Advantages: Funny as you're likely to get without using Prozac Disadvantages: Cheap. Oh so cheap.
...sequel to the highly succesful Austin Powers - International Man of Mystery.
The plot is a bit...well...non existent. Dr Evil comes back from outer space to steal Austin’s mojo in 1969. Austin, who is now in 1999 has to go back and try to get it back. Of course, Dr Evil is agian demanding ridiculous amounts of money, Mustafa is suffering immense pain and Scott cannot get a word in edgeways with his father. Life is normal then.
So this film is hardly ... ...so funny no one even cares. Between “zip it”, ‘mini me’, Fat Bastard and the rocket sequence, you just cant help but laugh your pants off cause it’s just cheap humour at its best. I loved every minute of it.
All in all, this was a great film to go and see. Just make sure you dont expect anything remotely serious, this is comedy through and through. ...

Advantages: Funny Disadvantages: Too much like the original
While I really like this film I do have to say it`s a bit of a cop out as it`s basically the same jokes as the first film with a slightly different story. I don`t like the lead female character as much as the first film either. The star of the film as with the last one is Dr. Evil who just cracks me up. The disc itself is excellent with loads of extras including the excellent Madonna Video to "Beautiful Stranger" along with 2 other Music Videos, ... ...to be honest I wasn`t all that keen on as it`s just Mike Myers with 2 others joking all the way through where I would have preferred more comments on each scene in the film. It`s still a good laugh and I have it in my collection and I`d tell anyone who liked the original to get this. ...

...various assassins try to kill Austin (with the regrettable Spitz or Swallows exchange). All the satire that was present is ready and willing but unfortunately brief. Such as the re-appearance of Will Ferrell as the unfortunate foreign spy who get knocked down the side of a cliff and never seems to die. Unwelcome is the return of Burt Bacharach in a silly cameo doing another song, this time with Elvis Costello. This film should have been better. ...

Advantages: Great film with lots of extras! Disadvantages: None!
Austin Powers, International Man of Mystery is one groovy package... and so is this DVD, baby! The film itself is spectacular, I couldn't have asked for a better follow-up to the first feature. 'The Spy Who Shagged Me' has it all- musical interludes, fight scenes, filthy fun and of course, gratitious nudity. I chose to buy this DVD in particular for the splendid extras that the disc boasts. Firstly we have a entertaining Austin themed menu which ... ...Mike Myers himself. If that isn't enough there's also a hidden Dr Evil menu (click on the symbol at the centre of the Austin menu to be transported there) with even more glorious extras, but this time with an added tinge of evil. All in all, one truly desirable disc. ...

I absolutely adore Austin Powers II starring the brilliant Mike Myers and Heather Graham. Heather plays a spy called Felicity Shagwell and Mike plays Austin, Dr. Evil, and Mini Me, Fat Bastard but all of his characters are so very different. I didn't realize they were all him until I read the credits. Seth Green (from buffy the vampire slayer) plays Scott Evil who is Dr. Evil's son and they both end up featuring on the Jerry Springer Show, It's hilarious! ... ...giant "Lazer"(little finger movements) and Austin and Felicity has to stop him, they go through a number of things but manage to stop him.

There is very little i didn't like about this film and it was certainly on par with the first film which is unusual for a sequel. Dr. Evil stole the show for me once again adn Mike Myers proved that his comedy timing has waned in the slightest. The DVD has all the extras you would expect plus a few more which make it a great value for money item.
I could try and list all the scenes that had me gripping my stomach with ... ...two that come to mind - both with Dr. Evil are him playing Basketball with the world! and the sequence with Mini Me where he sings 'Just The Two Of Us' - classic modern comedy.
P.S - if you have a delicate stomach expect it to be turned at the gross Fat Bastard!!! ...

Quick review of Austin Powers - The Spy Who Shagged Me (DVD)
The whole concept of a toothy bond like.... stuck in future was halarious ..... Mike Mayers has came into his own in this character and has performed competantly in all characters that he has performed in the movie i.e. Austin Powers & Dr. Evil. Heather Graham has done a good job at keeping beauty with brains idea concept intact. The movie starts off with the idea of a sadistic lonetic Dr. Evil planning to rule the world using his LASER BEAM :), Austin is aware of Dr. Evil's EVIL plans and tries to stop him but in the process looses his MOJO ..... well in a nutshell the movie is a bag of laughter spiced up with a silly imitations of bond antics... the potrayal of the 60's is an eminant part of the movie. A must watch for all those ... who dont associate laughter with logic. ...

Everybody saw Austin Powers:International man of mystery and thought it was great and couldn't be topped for it's comedy, Wrong, the sequel is so much funnier, the laughs come every minute and this time the film is not so based around the story as the first one was, this one is just good old fashioned laughs.
