Austin powers 2 is one of if not the best film of '99. Mike Myers is at his best once again playing not one, but three characters and is backed up brilliantly by Liz Hurley. Once again, his comic genius adds much to the film and every second is pure comedy. The film takes a look at going back in time and Austin loses his mojo. With great copies of already funny things Myers is brilliant and you must see this film, a guaranteed laugh a minute. Must ...

Review of Austin Powers - The Spy Who Shagged Me (DVD)
Advantages: Still funny, and has Heather Graham to boot! Disadvantages: Not a patch onthe first film.
The sequel to the smash first film, is sadly not as good. It has its moments and ties in nicely with the original with a lot of jokes at Austin’s expense. The best performance has to be that of Mini Me, which must have been pure luck that they found a midget who is the double of Dr. Evil.
There are lots of Star Wars rip-offs with their concurrent launches which are amusing to fans of SW but on the whole I would watch the first film more than the ...

Review of Austin Powers - The Spy Who Shagged Me (DVD)
...fan of the original. In AUSTIN POWERS, I felt that Austin was cool, Dr Evil rocked, but Ms Kensington... well... she just didn’t float my boat baby. Don’t get me wrong, Elizabeth Hurley is a monumental babe of epic tower erecting proportions, but... it was her character. For me, in the first film, every time Austin got going... began having fun, some friggin constraint of the modern world and it’s repressed sensibilities held him back from being ... ...KINGS. I wanted to see Austin at full steam. And in AUSTIN POWERS 2, that’s what I get. Sure, he’s got problems... but then I think Austin always has a problem to deal with, thus is the life of a secret agent, eh? This time out Austin is in his environment. He’s not in a zoo behind plexi for a study. Instead he’s in his happening jungle with a wanton willing babe just awaiting for a good wiley roll in the hay... or the satin sheets. However, the ...

...Myers plays Austin Powers, the wacky secret agent. Heather Graham plays Austin's sidekick, Felicity Shagwell. Two of the most funniest characters, Dr. Evil and Fat Bastard are also played by Mike Myers. Mini-me is hilarious, a clone of the weird Dr. Evil. Thoroughly reccommended. BUY THIS MOVIE, IT'S GROOVY BABY! ...

Review of Austin Powers - The Spy Who Shagged Me (DVD)
Advantages: Heather Graham, probably OK if you haven't seen any other films.......ever. Disadvantages: Doesn't work. Some very poor ideas.
Recently I hired Austin Powers 2(The Spy Who Shagged Me) on DVD, expecting more of the originality, sparkling whit and in general a bloody funny film. However, slightly disappointed would be fair description of how I felt. The individual characters were very good once again, with some superb scenes for DR.Evil and Minime. Heather Graham stole the show quite easily as Felicity (more perfect than any Bond girl I've ever seen (well Ursula Andress excepted)). ... ...work was sorely mistaken. OK, I'm probably being a little unfair, to try and compare it with the original may be a little harsh, but if you are going to try and follow on with a sequel it should at least try to live up to the first. For stupid humour give me the original or The Waterboy any day. ...

Review of Austin Powers - The Spy Who Shagged Me (DVD)
Austin Powers is a great comedy that is almost as good as the first one. Bringing in new characters such as Minime makes the film seem a lot better as he is one of the funniest characters in the movie. Mike Myers is perfect for the part of Austin Powers and he acts it out incredibly well, using those certain few gestures that everyone knows about. Austin Power's amazing powers come from his mojo which he unfortunately loses in this film, and he realises ...

Review of Austin Powers - The Spy Who Shagged Me (DVD)
Austin Powers Two is even funnier than the first! Austin’s back again, and this time with new jokes, and a new assistant. Also, doctor Evil comes back, but with a new assistant too. His name is Mini Me, and he one eighth of Dr Evil. He’s the equivelent of a chiuaua, with twice the attitude. He even tries to kill Dr Evil's son Scott. Also, watch out for Dr Evil on the Jerry Springer Show. Not to be missed! This film is a must see, and look out for ...

Review of Austin Powers - The Spy Who Shagged Me (DVD)
i was disappointed by this austin powers sequel. although it certainly had its funny parts, i felt it was sadly lacking and unoriginal compared to the first film. heather graham cannot compare to liz hurley--whereas liz looked like she was having fun in her role, heather seemed more stiff acting next to mike myers. i don't know what the deal is with the fat bastard character. he is perplexing like jar jar is, i suppose. not really funny at all. i ...

Advantages: Mini-Me and Heather Graham,Hilarious Disadvantages: Fat Bastard and gross jokes
I didn't really its a quote from this film. The worst character in the film says it so I don't know why I used it for my introduction. Anyway this film is one of my favourite comedies of all time. It just keeps getting funnier. It is only beaten by Some Like it hot. Mike myers has made a masterpiece. It spoofs Bond films(but not as much as the first film) and it is full of hilarious jokes.(Many are Gross. You have been warned.). Mini Me steals the ...

Review of Austin Powers - The Spy Who Shagged Me (DVD)
Advantages: A good viewing Disadvantages: a bit corny
...Story follows the adventures of Austin Powers (aptly named film then) who is a James Bond character as he attempts to recover his "MOJO" from his arch enemy, Dr Evil. The MOJO is his "loving forces" that have been removed. A bit silly really. It was removed from his nether regions with a syringe (owww) while he was frozen. In this film, there are more parodies on real life events. Starbuck, the coffee house is used as a head quarters. The Jerry Springer ... ...father is evil and wants to rule the world". Typical Springer storylines. Myers plays the part of an Englishman quite well. While he does not sound American, his accent is not placeable as anywhere in particular. A mix of London with a hippiefied american! The girls are gorgeous, the plot is poor. Similar to a lot of bond movies. A spoof film is a great way to describe it. It does not take itself too serious and it is able to laugh at itself. The ...

Advantages: Loads of comedy Disadvantages: Same jokes as the first
Everyone must know about Austin Powers by now!!! If you don't let you must have been living in Dr Evil's secret base on the moon for the last few decades.
Basically, Austin Powers is a spoof of James Bond. All the same characteristics and mannerisms are there, such as the never ending row of womem, the super villans (or just one in this case) and the one line clichés.
Mike Meyers plays two characters in this film, as he did the first, and does ...

Austin Powers: The Spy Who Shagged Me is in even worst taste and is less funny. The balance shifted too far toward gross-out jokes and away from cleverness. I laughed, yes, but I groaned and slapped my forehead in disbelief more often. It's one thing to exercise bad taste in the service of a greater goal, but bad taste for bad taste's own sake -- bad taste just to get a cheap reaction out of the audience -- is a less than admirable accomplishment. ...

...a hilarious comedy sequel, then austin powers 2 The spy who shagged me is the film for you. Mike Myers plays the three main characters, austin powers, doctor evil and fat bastard to tremendose effect.
