Advantages: Side splitting comedy Disadvantages: toilet humour can be quite frequent
I have watched this movie so many times now that I have actually worn out the DVD (of which i didn't believe possible) from start to finish this is one of the funniest films that I own (over 450 films) you can watch this film over and over again, yet still find jokes that you missed the first time.
The film is very simular to the previous title but with different jokes. You'll find yourself using the catch phrases in this movie for months after. ...

Austin Powers 2 starts at Austin's honeymoon with Vanessa from number one when Austin finds out that Vanessa is a Fembot working for Doctor Evil but to understand Austin Powers 2 better you have to see number one. It's about Dr. Evil trying to kill Austin again. He invents a "time machine" to go back to when Austiin was frozen and steel his Mojo, the thing that makes him what he is. His spy in the ministry of defence, Fat Bastard, who weighs a metric ... ...well by reputation)is sent to help Austin to get his Mojo back from Dr. Evil and often makes sexual suggestions to Austin that arevery easy to pick up. There are lots of funny jokes in the film and I would personally recommend this to anyone who likes a good laugh. ...

This was the funniest movie of 1999. Forget There's Something About Mary or American Pie, this was the funniest. It's about a superspy (Mike Myers) who tries to stop Dr. Evil (Mike Myers) and his sidekick Mini-Me (Verne Troyer), a pint size clone of Dr. Evil, from taking over the world and blowing up every major cd from a laser placed on the moon. ...is a great comedy actor, austin powers is a great character, so is doctor evil, not so is fat bastard, who is a pointless waste, what is wrong with this movie? not much if you haven't seen the first one, if you have then your watching it all over again. ...I haven't seen the first Austin Powers film before watching the sequel but a trusted friend of mine said that it was really good and reccomended it to me. This film was a laugh a minute. Mr Evil, Fat Bastard (a genuine character,really!!!) and Austin Powers himself was well played by Mike Myers. The addition of new parts and characters adds to the story. I love mini-me. Advantages: Very funny film. Highly amusing. Disadvantages: Little tedious.
I think the Austin Powers film is very good. I try to copy myself as the character. Mike Myers plays a fantastic part as Austin and some of the other characters. Sensible enough to invest in the strongest aspects of the original, this as-good-as sequel plays satisfyingly to the grooves of a terrifically funny original. Advantages: One of the better films of the years Disadvantages: You may never stop laughing
I haven't seen the first Austin Powers film but it didn't make much difference. The sequel is excellent. Mike Myers is funny in all the characters that he plays. The story line is a bit weird (as expected) but the jokes kept on coming and coming.
The soundtrack is brillant but the scene of the United Kingdom leaves a lot to be desired.
If I had to vote for my favourite character then it would have to be either Doctor Evil or Mini-me.

Can't have this rubbish taking all five stars so I'm going to give it what it deserves. I've been recently employed in helping create a console game related to AP and had to endure this sequel to get ideas. The first film is quite good with some funny sight gags, though I find Myers unfunny but quite clever. This second outing is just embarrassing.
