...I haven't seen the first Austin Powers film before watching the sequel but a trusted friend of mine said that it was really good and reccomended it to me. This film was a laugh a minute. Mr Evil, Fat Bastard (a genuine character,really!!!) and Austin Powers himself was well played by Mike Myers. The addition of new parts and characters adds to the story. I love mini-me. I think the Austin Powers film is very good. I try to copy myself as the character. Mike Myers plays a fantastic part as Austin and some of the other characters. I hope this film continues to be so good and not end up dying itself out, like some of the other movies do, after several episodes. I dont think that the movie could be improved very much. He is frightend when his mojo had been stolen and straight away he knew who took it. Sensible enough to invest in the strongest aspects of the original, this as-good-as sequel plays satisfyingly to the grooves of a terrifically funny original. The elaborate and potty storyline takes Evil back in time to 1969 to steal Powers' mojo (his sex drive) and the swinger zings back to retrieve his all important potency. Advantages: One of the better films of the years
Disadvantages: You may never stop laughing

I haven't seen the first Austin Powers film but it didn't make much difference. The sequel is excellent. Mike Myers is funny in all the characters that he plays. The story line is a bit weird (as expected) but the jokes kept on coming and coming. The soundtrack is brillant but the scene of the United Kingdom leaves a lot to be desired. Can't have this rubbish taking all five stars so I'm going to give it what it deserves. I've been recently employed in helping create a console game related to AP and had to endure this sequel to get ideas. The first film is quite good with some funny sight gags, though I find Myers unfunny but quite clever. This second outing is just embarrassing.
