I really enjoyed this film. Generally I'm not a big Bruce Willis fan but I thought he was great in the role of an actual 3D character rather than the 2D roles were use to seeing him in. If you own a DVD this is a film that allows you to show off the superior technology. It is also a damn fine film... I'm not talking of Oscars or awards but for enjoyment this is a superb example of an action blockbuster. The story as if you don't know follows Bruce Willis and a gang of oil-drilling misfits on their mission to save the planet from being hit by a 'global killer' asteroid. The film is filled with Bruce's usual grunting and sweating ...
...including Ben Affleck, Liv Tyler, Billy Bob Thornton, Steve Buscemi and Ving Rhames theres no way this can fail to impress. There is constant humour running through out the film, most noteably with the cameo performance of a mad Russian astronaut, as well as suspense, some great special effect action sequences, and even a smattering of romance... Instead of a large asteroid heading for the planet Earth, say a mile wide, which would cause a worldwide mass extinction, the filmmakers had to go with a rock the size of Texas.
