Armageddon: I was one of those people who bought a flipper when this film first came out, however having to turn the disc over has not spoilt my enjoyment of this great film. Excellent performances from the cast, though Liv Tyler could have been more convincing when Bruce told her that he wouldn't be coming back. When I first watched this film I laughed and cried throughout it. This was a serious storyline to film and it was good to add some punch lines to add some humour in it. At the beginning of the film with the meteor shower was sensational. But the team of resucurers was something. They were not your typical saviours of the film, they added a lot of humour in it in the build up of rescuing the world. I reallly loved the main theme tune to the film also, ...
...and the film also. I now watch the film over and over again, even when it comes on TV I still watch it. I love this movie so much, I seen it like a dozen times already, and with the DVD with extra features and extra documentries it makes my kind of heaven. Summer, another blockbuster another end of the world story... now this concept wouldn't be so bad if we didn't have Deep Impact crawling around recently, and this is the same story.
