Advantages: Really Good Sports Film Disadvantages: not understand NFL, wont understand the film
Story Line
Life is a contact sport and football is life when we explore the fortunes of the Struggling Miami Sharks in 'Any Given Sunday'. Tony D'Amato the embattled Sharks coach is facing a full-on blitz of team strife plus a new, marketing-savvy Sharks owner who's sure Tony is way too old-school.
The film starts as starting quarterback is injured, then in the very next play so is the 2nd string QB, leaving flashy, bull-headed 3rd string QB to ... ...rips the team limb from limb. And Tony is left to pick up the pieces.
There are many layers to this film, you have the clear story line of the Sharks, failing as the cross city Dolphins succeed.
The inner workings of the team, The friction between the New QB and the rest of the team, The RB looking for his 1000th yard and massive bonus that comes along with it! The concussion plagued DLB, who eat, drinks and sleep Football!

Advantages: superb film great cast great storyline Disadvantages: a bit too predictable at the end
...which will keep you happy even if the film dissapoints(which i assure you it wont)in fact there are so many extra features they come on an extra disc!!!so 2 discs,a great cast,great storyline,american football and loads of extra features what more do you want????? any given sunday 2 maybe????? ...

...title of this review suggests Any Given Sunday is one of my favourite films of all time. The fact that Al Pacino is also one of my favourite actors helped a great deal when i first decided to watch this movie, that and the fact i love american football.
The film has a massive cast Al Pacino, Cameron Diaz, Dennis Quaid, James Woods, Jamie Foxx and LL CooL J. All of which give fantastic performances. The films plot follows the season of the Miami ... ...Another excellent feature of Any Given Sunday is the soundtrack. Theres a bit of Moby in there but it is mainly hip-hop. Every tune fits in perfectly with the film and adds to the atmosphere the film generates.
I would recommend this film to everybody, you don't have to have an interest in American Football to enjoy it, you don't even have to like sport. The storyline and acting performances are enough to keep anybody engaged in what is an engrossing ...
