Plot
Annie is set Manhattan in the middle of the Great Depression. Annie was found wrapped in newspaper on the doorstep of an orphanage when she was a baby. Advantages: Two classic orphan musicals in one Disadvantages: Although excellent, the screen can not beat the stage version
...gin-soaked tyrant, Miss Hannigan. Eventually Annie gets the chance to stay for a week at the famous billionaires house of Daddy Warbucks, but Miss Hannigan and her villainous colleagues are determined to spoil the fun of America's favourite orphan.
SONGS - some songs are weaker than other. The most famous are 'It's a hard knock life' and 'Tomorrow'. Some other songs are catchy for example ' sandy' which is about her dumb dog, and 'I don't need anything ... ...PERFORMANCES
The acting in Annie is very good, especially the performances of Carol Burnett, who plays drunken Miss Hannigan and Albert Finney who has the role of Daddy Warbucks. They are both very believeable and play their parts to perfection. The singing is outstanding, especially by the young children in the orphanage. Their vocals are high and they must have been cast for their singing ability as much as their acting skills. However, there ...
