A sad, funny and desperate film...

Advantages: You laugh, you cry.. beautiful film..
Disadvantages: Not to be watched if you are down in dumps!

ANGELA'S ASHES ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ I read the book first, but the review I am going to do Is about the film Itself, and wow and what a film. This film came to our screens in January 2000 I was actually waiting for it to explode into the cinema after reading the book and being besotted with the characters as their lives unfold. The director, Alan Parker, helps us connect with the characters and sets across a very clear yet important message. In the ...
...would not let me watch Angela's Ashes. She said it would upset me too much. And I guess she was right. Even now, I got a bit depressed at it, over emotional! I am quite easily upset, so it is a tough film to watch. As it was in History, and we were studying Immigrants And Exiles, I did not really have a choice in the matter. I am pleased I watched it though, as it is now one of my favourite films! I love the Irish accent, so it is super! Now, if ...
