Disadvantages: Rather violent sometimes

Amores perros ------------- Defintely one of the best movies I've ever seen. One that really touches you. I went to see it with my girlfriend. She used to dislike "alternative" movies. But when the names appeared at the end of the movie (150min!) she spontanuously said and with a sad voice: "Oh... it isn't over, is it?" :( What is the movie about? When my film studies teacher announced that we were about to watch one of her favourite movies of all time, I was intially uneasy as she favours obscure, national films. Disadvantages: Maybe the making reminds a little Pulp Fiction.

Amores Perros as I translate it means For the Love of Dogs This is a misleading title I would simply like to advise viewers in this opinion... In a raw movie, this film portrays a group of gangs who make money out of dog fights - training wild street-dogs to fight rivals to the death. Amores perros: dog loves Amor es perros: love is dogs It is about dogs, it is about love, but for a Mexican the title really tells them how love is hard, how love is mean, and how love is cruel. Not having seen a good Mexican movie in a long time Amores perros really amazed me. Disadvantages: A little heavy on the blood and guns

This is a long way from being a Hollywood "guns solve all problems" action movie although there are are enough similarities to keep you on the edge of your seat.
