I rented out this film tonight and as I watched I wondered how it won so many awards.wait I can understand why, it is because Mena Suvari and Thora Birch got their tops of for a minute. Help me to find more expressions to say who I enjoyed this film. There is no better film out there. The movie's topic is the always the same and repeating life of two families in a suburban area. On one side there are the Burnhams: Lester, a looser, his wife Carolyne, a hyperorganized woman, and their daughter, who Lester describes as every teenager "angry, uncertain, introverted..". They get new neighbours, the Phitts, Colonel Phitts, his somehow ...
...the moment in which the life really changes is when Lester falls in love with his daughter's friend, Angela. In this moment the story becomes weird. I can recommend this film witout reduces. Watching this movie is a little like seeing life at its worse, but most honest. It is a movie that tells how one can be perceived, but not really be. This has to be one of the best films this year! Kevin Spacey and Annette Bening portray a couple in a midlife crisis - a story that ends in disaster. Alan Ball wrote a fabulous script and literally tailored the character of Lester Burnham for Spacey.
