Together they roam the streets searching for food they can steal to survive and constantly evading the palace guards. Walt Disney, one of the best companies in family entertainment produced Aladdin. It has produced lots animated films , including Bambi (1942), The Jungle Book (1967), and The Lion King (1994). The story of Aladdin is brought to life with the fantasitc vocal talents of Robin Williams as the Genie.
The Story
Aladdin is a street kid, who finds a magic lamp that when rubbed, a genie will grant you any three wishes you want. The one wish Aladdin wants is for the Princess to love him, but that' a wish the Genie is forbidden to grant. So, Aladdin must find a way to get near hear and win her heart...
The Graphics
Absolutely fantasitc. ... ...The relationship between him and Aladdin starts off shacky as he's tricked into giving away a freebie, but soon becomes very fond of the luck struck lad. With the power to do anything, - with three exceptions!, - he gives Aladdin his best chance of winning the Princess's heart by turning him into a Prince. This is the funniest character of the film and I think the one with the most depth.

...not get too downhearted because Aladdin does have plenty of things to commend it – great action and animation, well realised characters, lots of reasonable humour and the huge vocal talents of the master performer Robin Williams, as the hippest genie ever. In fact, so huge is Williams’ mark on this film that at times it becomes the Genie Show. None of that is to the story’s detriment, however, and Williams’ off the wall playing ... ...second.
The story is based, as you well know, on the old tales from Arabian Nights and has been worn precious thin by a thousand pantomimes and a hundred thousand childish cries of ‘He’s behind you,’ but all that is set aside by a masterpiece of an animated feature, which simply sets its own rules and delivers time and time again in the Disney tradition.
You get lovable animal sidekicks, and badder than bad villains, with Jafar ...

Quick review of Aladdin (DVD)
The Classic tale of Aladdin the street rat is your standerd rag to riches story yet it is so much more than that. The preformance of Robin Williams is a particular highlight with his whacky and sidespilliting humor. The disney version of Aladdin may not have been in keeping with the original but this way just seems to work. It is a film children love yet wont make the parents cringe at the thought of sitting down and watching it with them. To sum up Aladdin in one word it would have to be Classic. ...

This is a very enjoyable cartoon movie. My children, their cousins and friends (3-12 years old) have watched this dozens and dozens of times without them getting tired of it and without me getting tired of it. The story is a little different to the original 40 thieves, as most Disney films are, but the story told is full of great characters, a scary baddie, a little romance, plenty of jokes and a tense ending. Well as tense as any Disney endings ... ...voice of Genie. There are lots of visual jokes and a number of subtle references just for the grown ups. The only thing I would say is that many of these as period related and so the film will date more quickly than other Disney releases. If you or the children don't know that Genie is pretending to be Jack Nicolson half the joke is lost.
As a bonus the songs are excellent too with the Academy award winning 'A Whole New World' and a host of others ...

I think Aladdin is fairly recent, maybe not even as much as five years old, but I think it holds some of the old Disney class.
Based on an old story, it tells the tale of a young street boy called Aladdin, who finds a lamp. He rubs it, and lo and behold, a genie appears in front of him!
