Advantages: lots of 80s nostalgia Disadvantages: somewhat cliched
About Last Night was pretty much based on David Mamet's stage play "Sexual Perversity in Chicago" which makes it sound pretty wild (it's not really)! Apparently they couldn't use the same title for the film due to the word "Perversity". It's a film worth watching if you like 80s movies with humor and lots of drama. '''PLOT TEASER'''
Danny (Lowe) and Debbie (Moore) meet in a bar one night, one thing leads to another and they have a one-night stand. ... ...have other ideas. Not happy about losing their pals to a full-time relationship (which could potentially lead to marriage God forbid…) they go out of their way to try to ensure that the 2 leads want to have fun and just stay single. Danny's inability to commit to the relationship causes all manner of problems for them, but I won't tell you any more about the plot… But I will say it's one of those "Will they? Won't they?" (stay together) kind of stories!

About Last Night was relased in 1986 and is directed by Edward Zwick, who also directed Legends Of the Fall, Traffic, Shakespear in Love amongst others.
The four main characters are Danny, Debbie, Bernie and Joan. Danny - Rob Lowe
Debbie - Demi Moore
Bernie - James Belushi
Joan - Elizabeth Perkins
Danny and Debbie meet at a local bar after a baseball match and start dating after a one night stand. What starts as a casual fling soon turns into ... ...is very bitter and twisted about life and men. She gives Debbie well intended advice, but doesn't really help her as she hates Danny.
Danny is a salesman in a dead-end job that he hates. Debbie is an advertising executive and is also sleeping with her boss. She lives with Joan until her and Danny decide to move in together. Joan and Bernie are both against the idea for different reasons. Moving in together seems like a good idea, but the cracks ...
