    Advantages Advantages Epic Masterpiece, huge sweep, great leads

    The merest mention of Sergio Leone will draw excitable gasps from any self respecting film fan. That his career contains a small handful of films while his name is revered is testament to the skill of the late Italian filmmaker. Writer, producer and director, Leone's name instanltly conjures up images of sprawling revisionist westerns, spaghetti westerns. Leone cannot claim to have invented the genre, for it was alive and well in Italy and Spain before he turned it on it's head. What Leone did do was shake the whole concept up.     Advantages Advantages Leone fans will enjoy, poltical thriller, keeps true to his westerns.

    Disadvantages Disadvantages Very long.

    Sergio Leone again blew minds with his take on the Mexican Revolution. How ever, he also stayed true to his Spaghetti Western roots when making Giù la testa, or it's now commonly know name 'A Fistful Of Dynamite, which was intended to be called 'Duck You Sucker'. The film was part of Leone's second trilogy (His first being The Dollar Trilogy). The trilogy includes 'C'era una volta il West - Once Upon A Time In The West' and 'Once Upon A Time In America'.     Advantages Advantages Brilliant plot, acting, direction and musical score.

    This is a classic Spaghetti Western with some added dimensions that don't occur in many others. Made in 1971, filmed in Italy, and spanning 157 glorious minutes this film shows off James Coburn's and Rod Steiger's acting talents to the full. The great Sergio Leone directs and the equally great Ennio Morricone provides the music. This Spaghetti Western is unusual in so far as it is set against the backdrop of the Mexican Revolution and James Coburn's character is a motor cycle riding IRA nitro glycerene explosives expert on the run from the British!
