Advantages: Brilliantly funny!! Very romantic and acting is fantastic Disadvantages: NONE!
This is a fantastic feel good film! Henry meets a girl, who unfortunetly is suffereing from short term memory loss, so everyday he has to come up with new ways to chat her up! It's brilliant to see all the different ideas Henry comes up with to catch Lucy's attention. Adam Sandler and Drew Barrymore work brilliantly together in this film and the chemistry is amazing. There are some classic lines and very funny scenes (and one rather sicky scene with ... ...long as you look away for those 10 seconds, the rest of the film is highly recommended!! The whole film is witty and a definate must see!! I have watched this film so many times I've lost count, and I still love it just as much everytime I turn it on!! ...

Advantages: Great film, Funny Disadvantages: None that i could see
I went to see this film with my better half. i hadn't really heard much about it but was told by friend that it was good. I came out very pleased and thought it was great. My partner thought it was a typical chick-flick. I already like both actors and thought this was one of Adam Sandlers better films and its always nice to see Drew Barrymore in a better class of film. It's does have a good story line and some great comedy moments, the animals create ...

Advantages: Drew Barrymore 7 Adam Sandler - Very Humourous Disadvantages: NONE
50 First Dates is a very humourous show - Adam Sandler known to be the island stud (Henry Roth) tries to impress Drew Barrymore (Lucy), the local girl who a year earlier suffered a car accident causing her to lose her memory. Set in beautiful hawaii, Adam unknowingly impresses Drew one day, scares her the next as she has no short term memory. The movie shows the tremendous lengths that Adam is prepared to go to win the love of Lucy, her father and ...

Advantages: it's a great film to watch really funny Disadvantages: if you don't like Adam Sandler or not like comedy this isn't the film for you.
One word to describe this..... Wonderful EXTREMELY comical and a pleasure to watch. With the comical genius Adam Sandler it is not something to miss. A girl (Drew Barrymore) suffers from something that makes her forget the day that has just passed. Adam dates her and she forgets what happens. This goes on forever as he keeps on dating her. This film has a wonderful cast and is a must see. Even if it sounds like a load of rubbish it isn't. It is a ...

This film was OK but not brilliant. Im not saying I didnt enjoy it because I did but it was pretty predictable. The storyline - Lucy (Drew Barrymore) does the same thing every single day because she has amnesia due to being involved in a car accident. Henry (Adam Sandler) lives a boy's dream life. He lives on the island of Hawaii and he is a vet. He has his pick of women who are there on holiday and he certainly is not looking to settle down, until ...

this has to be one of the best films ive seen this year ( and ive seen a lot! )
i got told off in my last dvd reviews for saying too much plot so im erring on the side of caution this time!
adam sandler plays his usual silly self. drew barrymore plays a nice girl who every day wakes up forgetting the day before. all the locals know this about her and go to great pains to make everyday the same routine for her, until sandler shows up.
he doesnt ... ...she doesnt know him the next, we find out why she is this way, and slowly he tries to get closer and closer each day
i wont ruin the ending, but it is a very good story, all the characters have background and you cant fail to feel good at the end
other than sandler doing that weird voice he does sometimes, it is a brilliant film, and the genuine friendship between him and drew makes the film believeable
a feel good movie, perfect to watch with ...

Advantages: Its funny. Two great well known actors, actress. Disadvantages: Quite sad
This film stars Adam sandler playing Henry Roth and Drew Barrymore playing Lucy Whitmore.
henry is a Hawaiian veterinarian. One day when he goes for breakfast at a cafe he comes across Lucy and they start talking and then Lucy has to go but agrees to meet him again then next morning for breakfast. When the next morning comes, he goes to her, she doesnt recognise him.
The owner of the cafe explains to him that she has lost her short term memory ... ...and waks up and doesnt remember the day before.
So...Henry goes back to meet her at the cafe again every morning to try and win her heart, even though he has to do this everyday and only gets half a day with her to do so.
Lucy's father and brother are overprotective of her they dont want Henry getting involved with her.
Eventually they allow him to help so Henry videos him and Lucy together each day so that he can explain how they met and what ...

ee, I am a married man. And watching this movie, at home on the sofa with my wife whom I love above anything and hopefully always will, almost brought me to tears and easily did her. This movie, no matter all the overdone/overacted characters and the fact that Adam Sandler is probably the worst person in the world the act crying, is simply the best description of love ever. To have the energy to every day win over the heart of the one you love, is ... ...have the energy to.
I believe that movie criticism often nitpicks too much on technical details or other such stuff of -actually- little importance. Show me a person who is not moved by this film and I show you a person who knows zip about real love. Real, I mean. I am not a religious person and this made me feel closer to what people often call God, whatever that is. Maybe I exaggerate, but I want to. And no work of art, of any genre, can be asked ...
