...** The Basics **
24 is drama series that is set during a single day. The series is 24 episodes long and (you guessed it) each episode is 1 hour long, give or take advert breaks. The drama is designed and written to be in real time. The actual episode length is around 40-45 minutes with strategically placed lapses for adverts when the series is being shown on TV.

...Without a doubt, I’d say 24. With intricate plotlines and enough dramatic tension to burst a blood vessel, 24 is must-see TV. But it is also highly complex and if you miss one episode, you’re pretty much screwed for the rest of the series. So, what to do if you’ve missed some or all of Series 2 of 24? Buy the box set on DVD of course! >> SYNOPSIS <<

...on the first season of 24 then you will fully understand the love i have for this show and its characters. Love is a strong word but i'll use it anyway! Another £50 given over to the nice people at HMV and season 2 was purchased. It was hard work as my buddies were watching ... ...managed to stay clear of 24 chats! This season in my opinion was better than the first which was hard to do but the writers, cast and directors did an amazing job in keeping people on the edge of their seat.
PLOT - As mentioned in my season 1 review, its quite tricky to give you a definitive plot for the whole days events due to the multiple subplots and continued progression of the stories throughout the day, however i will give you a run down ...

...in LA in the next 24 hours. It’s up to CTU to stop it from happening.
This one starts at 8am. It’s a year after the first ‘24’ and Jack has left CTU and let himself go a bit as both he and his daughter are having trouble dealing with his wife’s death. Okay, he’s grown a beard. It’s not exactly skid row is it? But, I digress……

Advantages: Fast paced action, great story Disadvantages: Some pointless sub plots
24 is a ground breaking American show based around the Counter Terrorist Unit (CTU) in LA. This review is of the DVD box set of Season 2. The show is unusual because it centres on a 24 hour period and is made up of 24 episodes, each covering 1 hour. This real time format can take some getting used to but since Season 1 they have improved it slightly so that the story flows more. Background

Of course it is, it’s 24! This season is punctuated by twists and turns that I defy you to predict. As ever there is no way of knowing who is good or bad, who will live and who will die. That is all part of the fun! Each episode races away and you would not believe how much can happen in a single hour. However the episodes ...

24 is an action/thriller television series with the theme being on counter terrorism.
At the beginning of series 2 a terrorist threat to detonate a nuclear bomb in Los Angeles is discovered.
President Palmer (Dennis Haysbert) then calls on the main character Jack Bauer (Keifer Sutherland), former CTU (counter terrorist unit) agent and the man who saved palmer's life in the first series. When we see Bauer again, he is clearly a broken man, still ... ...of a larger plan...
24 is very fast paced, action packed and at times you can feel the tension and the urgency in the air. I was instantly hooked, with a gripping plot with seemed to twist endlessly and strong performances from the entire cast of characters, I had to watch "just one more episode"! even the last few seconds of the series left me eagerly awaiting series 3. Also 24 is unique in the way it is filmed in the sense that a season consists ...

She escapes from custody only to injure the cop and her boyfriend in the process, she ends up in a nuclear fall out shelter with another nutter who she escapes from, only to be told by Jack that he is about to comit suicide by being the one to get the bomb out of L.A and detonate it with him ... ...Jack finds out that his old friend Nina Myers (Sarah Clarke) is behind the bomb, and has to interrogate her, he loves this job as he would like to kill her after she killed his wife in season 1.
Needless to say he didn't die in the plane as George Mason had hidden himself in the plane in order to be the one to go down with the plane (he was going to die in a few hours anyway as he had been in contact with plutonium earlier that day).

It is quite hard to get across the intensity and brilliance that is 24 without spoiling all of the twists and turns in the plot.
