If you are a fan of the first resident evil film then this is one for you. Even if you haven't seen the first one then you should still go and see it but preferably after you have seen the first one.
Milla Jovovich is back as Alice, she has awoken in Racoon city and is unsure what has happened. The scientists have been playing around with her again and many other things. Racoon city has been taken over by zombies after they have been let out of the hive. People above ground in Racoon city do not realise what happened in the hive and are defenceless to the zombies.
The umbrella corporation are trying to cover their tracks by evacuating the healthy people and containing the rest. They have escorted all the 'important people' e.g. scientists out already apart from one and his daughter.
Before Alice arrives back on the scene there is a new women kicking zombie arse who looks like Laura Croft. Just when its looking bad for the group fighting them off Alice returns to save the day. Something is different though, I mean she was good at fighting in the first but this time they just don't stand a chance.
At the end of the first film there are just two people left and they get separated and the guy gets put in the nemesis program. When I saw what they have turned this guy into a had to laugh and the story line starts to go down hill form here. He is this huge indestructible monster which has been created by the umbrella corporation.
Alice and he new found friends have to find a way out of the city before they nuke the place. They find a helping hand from the scientist I mentioned earlier who wants his daughter to come with them. he hacks into the computer system and helps them to escape but it all back fires when the boss finds out what he has been doing.
They arrange to meet to get out but when they get there they run into some trouble, which initially looks to be dealt with but then the rest arrive. The boss brings the nemesis program along now to fight Alice but Alice starts to remember who the nemesis program is. She doesn’t want to fight him and looks at him he also realises who she is and starts to fight back at the bad guys. He helps them to escape at the cost of his own life. Of course at the end the put Alice into another program leaving it open for another film called the Alice program. Just like the first films ends with the beginning of the second this ends with the beginning of the third.
If you are a fan of zombies and action then this is definitely worth a watch but it is very cheesy. It is based on a computer game so there isn't much of a story line so it seems like they are trying to get blood from a stone when trying to find a good plot.
All we have to do now is wait another two years for the third which will probably get worse but I am sure it will still be worth a watch.

I feel as though this review gives the story line away a bit too much and doesn't give enough information about the film (such as the making of it, the director and cast). If you update this review and improve it, I will be happy to change my rating. -=- Hoethir -=-

"It is based on a computer game so there isn't much of a story line " ???
You obviously havn't played the games then, as they had a plot better than any horror film i've ever seen, and I've seen a lot.
