Weeks after the incident at the underground laboratory, scientists thought it was safe to reopen the 'Hive' but when the team of agents and scientists attempted to open it, high levels of the virus was detected and they were welcomed by zombies! After a while, the infection reached above ground and civilians became the victims. In this movie, the characters are stuck in the city full of zombies and there is no way out. The bridges are closed and the city is in complete lockdown. In a matter of minutes, the whole place will be bombed along with the undead. Alice (from the first movie), was infected with the virus but her blood was able to bond with the virus making her stronger but Chris (also from the first movie), mutated and became project Nemesis. The two battle each other proving who's superior as the other characters find their way out hijacking a plane owned by the corporation responsible for the virus. If you loved the first movie, I'm sure you'll find this one interesting and probably more action-packed than the first!
The world of films has long since been riddled with computer game spin-offs. Generally these are dire, melancholy affairs not worthy of note. No matter how good the game was, the films tend not to match up. Let us remember Kylie's dire effort in Streetfighter, or more recently the painfully bad Max Payne movie.
Like all things though, there is sometimes a film that rises from the ashes, like a pheonix, to conquer the movie world. Residentevil made a slowish start. The first film was watchable, and for a fan of the games like myself, it was entertaining. It seems, that the series is getting stronger, though, as apocalypse turns out to be a rip-roaring success. Highly enjoyable, and memorable for more than just Milla Jovavic (or, Milla yoyo-a-bit.). Yes she is a fox, but she could also kick your ass! The perfect woman!

ResidentEvilApocalypse is a 2004 science fiction/ horror film and the sequel to the 2002 film ResidentEvil. It was made on a budget of £21.5,000,000 and grossed an estimated £64,697,418 at the box office. The critics ended up disliking this film even more than the previous instalment, with one critic stating that this movie is an utter waste of time! The film is rated 15 and runs for approximately 98 minutes.
This film is directed by Alexander Witt, the previous was done by Paul Anderson who decided to take a backseat role as the producer, maybe he didn?t want to deal with all the flack he got for the last film but in the mean time still make some money! ResidentEvilApocalypse was his directorial debut, his other big role was as the 2nd unit director on Casino Royale.

* iNTRODUCTION TO THE WORLD OF RESIDENTEVIl *
ResidentEvil was first released in 1996 as a video game. It was based around the members of a special forces team call S.T.A.R.S who have been sent to Racoon City to investigate a series of grisly murders only to be dragged into the twisted world of the undead themselves. You play the character of Chris Redfield where you have to battle zombies and solve the mystery as to why these zombies have come to be and why this international corporation 'Umbrella' is involved, being the main aim of the game.
Due to the games phenomenal success a sequel was followed in 1998 cleverly entitled ResidentEvil2. It was set around the characters of Leon S Kennedy who has come to Racoon City to start a new job on the police force and Claire Redfield (sister of Chris Redfield) who has come to find her ...

DVD Description
The lovely Milla Jovovich is back with a vengeance as amnesiac, genetically-altered zombie ass-kicker, Alice, in this sequel to the 2002 hit film, which is based on the video game. This time around the sinister Umbrella Corporation sends a team of investigators into their destroyed underground lab (the ground-zero of carnage in the previous film) and unwittingly unleash the still-staggering zombies and monsters out into the population of Raccoon City. Soon Umbrella has evacuated all of their own key employees and has shut everyone else inside to be devoured. A mastermind chemist's daughter gets left behind in the confusion, and she is the one ticket out for Alice and a handful of dwindling survivors, including the equally hot, skimpily dressed, and almost-as-tough lady cop, Jill Valentine (Sienna Guillory). There's some nifty motorcycle riding, plenty of bullets and splattering blood, and even a new monster--the hulking, heavily-armoured, seriously ugly Nemesis. Comic actor Mike Epps is great as a pimped-out hustler who handles the whole dead-coming-back-to-life thing with cool nonchalance. In some ways, this non-stop creep show is even an improvement over the original, with a pervasive mood of nihilistic corporate dehumanisation adding extra concern about the future of civilisation to the mix of shooting, dying, punching, and munching.
