Advantages: Takes the urine out of a cult film. Hurrah! Disadvantages: Er, takes the urine out of a cult film. Shame.
Starring comedic genius Leslie Nielsen and directed by Bob Logan (no, I've never heard of him either), this spoof of controversial horror movie, 'The Exorcist', will come as something of a disappointment to you if you're hoping for the laughs you get with 'Airplane!'. But there are a few good moments (enough to see you through to the end, anyway). It's not quite as laugh-out-loud as some of Nielsen's other work, and even bringing Linda Blair - the ... ...mock herself and her greatest on-screen moment wasn't enough to make this a classic. But it's enjoyable enough with some typical gags.
In this slightly cheap parody, Satan possesses Nancy (Linda Blair) via her TV set whilst she's watching some religious fruitcakes doing their thing in typical noisy, over-the-top fashion.
