Advantages: Original, witty and a great watch
Disadvantages: Not quite as good as first series

...That Mitchell and Webb Look is a hit British comedy sketch show, written and performed by David Mitchell and Robert Webb. Series 1 was an instant hit, with some of the regular characters, such as The Numberwang TV show and Ted and Peter, the snooker commentators, becoming instant classics. Other enjoyable characters include the party planners, and the Surprising Adventures of Sir Digby Chicken-Caesar. However, in the second series, so as not to be labelled as a 'catchphrase' sketch show, like Catherine Tate (Am I Bovvered?) for example, they dropped many of their reccuring sketches and replaced them with new ones. This in itself is admirable, as they have to work hard to win over their fans for a second time, but truth be told, the new characters, whilst very good, aren't as good as the ones from the first series. Advantages: Very funny throughout all the episodes

...Got this dvd after really enjoying the television series and I am definately happy with it. It is a hilarious series to watch through with sketches like the drunken snooker announcers, Sir Digby Chicken Caesar and the crime fighting duo - "Angel Summoner and the BMX Bandit" and of course a lot more. I also own "The Mitchell and Webb Situation" and while that is also very funny I think they really outdid themselves with this series and I can only hope it returns for a second series. David Mitchell and Robert Webb are probably best know for the tv show Peep Show and some of the other cast members appear in The Mitchell and Webb Look including Olivia Coleman and Paterson Joseph. The dvd includes all 6 episodes from the tv series and a few dvd extras which are outtakes, deleted scenes and a making of documentary. I bought this for £7 so... Read review
