Ive seen Rambo a few times, once when i was young and the memory of him fall of a cliff and a tree breaking his fall to which he then stitched himself up with him survival needle and thread was amazing even if it was a bit unrealistic.

Stallone plays a vietnam renegade, straight out of the war, he is picke dup by an officer who casts him as a "dead beat" and offers to escort him out of town...

Stallone or shall i say rambo takes offence of this and start world war 3 all on his own, killing police officers and hiding in the woods.

He uses his survival skills to great effects whilst on the run and gets out of some unbelievable scrapes with the law.

The storyline is a good one, and keeps you gripped, but I do feel it goes over the top (no pun intended) sometimes and leaves you sitting there thinking "yeah right"...

It is a typical sly stallone movie, and is quite action packed, it does focus heavily on the vietnam war and some images and scenes may be upsetting to youngsters to watch.

The film ends with Stallone being arrested but only after he has killed half the police force and blown the town up. His flash backs of the vietnam war aparently justify his rage and being casted as a dead beat by the first police officer he met.

Quite unrealistic, but a great film nevertheless, The actors play brilliant parts as does rambo, but its just a bit unbelievable at times to take seriously.

This film was hard to get hold of when it first came out but now they are easily accessed.

The soundtrack is brilliant and some real classic tunes... This really does make it what it is.

The film is about 90 mins long and rated 15 and available in widescreen.

I bought a rambo from asda about 4 years ago, and cost me £7.99 for VHS format, I have seen box sets (first blood & Rambo) on ebay for around £10 in DVD format, or individually for about £4 again on DVD. As I have only got it on Video im not too sure if it has extras on the DVD.

Well worth watching if you havent seen it already, but we warned it is a typical Stallone film but with some highly memorable and brilliant clips.
