I was just thinking to myself doesn't time fly when your having fun, but then I realized I'm bored as hell and I'm talking bollocks as usual. Since my Exams Results I have been waiting and waiting for college to start. During this period I have been listening to a lot of music and one album that came into my music loving grasp, was that of the Wu-Tang Clan and there 2000 release - The W.
As I had played all my other CD's out I decided to give this album another go and I'm glad I did. I remembered why I bought this album in the first place and why it was top of my collection for a long time. The Wu-Tang Clan have released 4 albums to date including many Killa Bee's albums that have been released. The W is there secong recent album, there most recent being the 2001 release, Iron Flag. The clan consist of 9 members - RZA, GZA, Method Man ...
Advantages: The whole clan together on stage! Disadvantages: I wasn't there!!!!!!!!
So how come I hadn't heard about this Wu-Tang concert, when clearly, after buying the DVD of it in my local music store for a bargain price of £7.99, it was the ultimate in Wu experience.

For those that aren't familiar with the Wu-Tang Clan, they are for many, (including myself) the ultimate in Hip Hop. From Staten Island where the clan grew up together, originates this ultra pure form of Hip Hop. Members of the Wu are also known for solo careers and often appear on other well known artists tracks. Method man, the late, Old Dirty Bastard, Rza, Gza, Inspecta Deck, U-God, Raeqwan, The Chef and Ghostface Killa are the main members of the ferocious clan each with their own distinct style but still unmistakeably Wu!

So this DVD is a complete must have for all Wu ...
After the demise of NWA the WuTang Clan are now the most important group in hip hop today. I write about this album in particular because, like De La soul's '3 feet high and rising' it's an honest to goodness classic and you don't get many of them to the pound.
Wu-Tang Forever is a 2 CD album and is largely produced by the clan's own RZA and includes an interactive wu mansion that I can't ever get into. It kicks off with 'Wu Revolution' and although hip hop has a reputation for it's violence and sexism, it's a call for solidarity and recognises the balance, and equality, needed in life: "Behind every strong woman is a strong man, and behind every strong man is a strong woman".
Unlike the clan's earlier album, 'Enter the wutang (36 chambers)', 'Wu-Tang forever' isn't as 'street' (as my old fella would say), but is still raw ...
In 'Raiders Of The Wu Tang', Sonny is trained by the Crippled Masters in how to defeat the 24 Shaolin Bronze Horse, but must also protect the temple from the Wu Tang High Priest. In 'Wu Tang Magic Kick', deceit, greed and leg action are the order of the day.
