Raging Planet - Planet Storm DVD

Advantages: a great 2 disk set
Disadvantages: 2 many extras

...this was another film that i wanted to see on the big screen but never did but i am glad a buyed the dvd because its on of the best around in my view. director Tim Burton (sleepy hollow,batman) cast: Mark Wahlberg (perfect storm,three kings) Tim Roth (pulp fiction,reservoir dogs) Helena Bonham Carter (fight club,novocaine) Michael Clarke Duncan (scorpion king,green mile,armageddon,cats&dogs-voice) cert 12 time 1hr 55min released in summer 2001 this film was one of the big hits of that year and made $180m in usa and £16.8m in uk. Tim Burtons re-imagining of the 60's classics on dvd has to be one of the best dvd's ever with 2 disks packed with extras too many i think because i have not had time to watch them all. Advantages: You get all the films and a bit more
Disadvantages: Can cost a bit

...Now you must of heard about these films one way or another - having such a huge legacy and all. Not only is there the five original films, but the original novel, the re-imagined film version in 2001, the TV and cartoon series not to mention the comics and such. As for the original five film though, I love them, maybe you do too, but if you don’t here’s what you’ve (so far) missed... Advantages: Tim Burton vision. Excellent ape performances. Superb production values. Interesting story.
Disadvantages: Bit more character/story development needed perhaps.

...Set around 200 years in the future, Planet Of The Apes follows Captain Leo Davison, who is in his spacepod when he loses his way from his spacestation in an electric storm. The storm whisks him away and he crash lands on an unchartered planet. Having survived the crash, he finds himself hunted down by apes, who, in a role reversal of real life, rule the planet, capturing humans for sport and running society.
