The first song is quite inspiring. It starts off with the electric guitar, and he talks about being born again. It's an intense song with mixed emotions. It's again like all of their songs, very unusual and queer.
The second song is a very active / disturbing song if you like.
He talks about being paranoid, and hearing voices in his head.
This song is recommended only for people who really like to listen to rock.
The third song is like a very calming song, taking you into a different world. This is more of an alien type song, talking about creatures, and aliens visiting ...
Advantages: thoughtful and deep Disadvantages: "Fitter Happier"
The thing I love about ‘Radiohead’ is the fact that their songs are so different, their style remains pretty much the same though obviously not as raw as their first album ‘Pablo Honey’. They use different sound effects and experiment more with their instruments in ‘OkComputer’, but the mood and feel of the music is unchanged. Previously called ‘On A Friday’, the band changed the name after confusion arose when people read the posters advertising the gigs, and couldn’t work out whether they were playing on a Friday or whether they were just called that.
Singer Thom Yorkes style of almost slurring the lyrics is another attraction giving the songs a lazy, complacent tone and often complementing the lyrics in terms of mood.
‘OkComputer’ is an album I can fall ...
Advantages: The Music Disadvantages: Sometimes overly weird, hard to derive meaning from the lyrics.
Radiohead. The mothers of dreariness, pessimism, and weirdness. Yeah right. OKComputer is the one album in my 40 CD collection that I can honestly just sit and listen to. Every song in this album is different but yet brilliant. Thom Yorke covers so many emotions in only 12 songs its amazing.
Airbag - 'In an interstellar burst I'm back to save the universe!'
A good, solid opener. Starts out with a simple guitar riff, then in come the bass and drums, and then Thom himself. It doesn't really hit dramatic heights like some of the songs, but has enough little sounds and blips to keep everyone happy. Its pretty obvious what this song is about, with the lyrics 'An airbag saved my life'. Leads beautifully into..
Paranoid Android - 'When i am king you will be first against the wall'
This song is probably the most epic of them all ...
