...The fourth season of The Simpsons started in 1992 and this DVD boxset contains all 22 episodes with Audio Commentary For Each Episode along with featurettes and deleted scenes giving an all-around look at the making of the episodes.
The show has come on leaps and bounds during the first few seasons and they really hit their stride here. The animation is more fluid, the writing is sharper than previous seasons and the stories are equal parts moving and hilarious. Anyone who says animation can't do moving should watch "I Love Lisa" in which Lisa takes pity on Ralph Wiggum and gives him a valentines, without thinking that Ralph might take a shine to her.
We also get a little of Marge and Homer before they moved into Evergreen Terrace in "Lisa's First Word" and have many classic episodes such as "Marge vs. the Monorail", "Mr. Plow...

Advantages: good acting and special effects Disadvantages: continuity of storylines and depth of characters
...The series has not yet been picked up for a second season as it got affected by the writer's strike. This means that the current series has not really ended with a proper finale and leaves you asking questions.
I hope the season is completed at least. It is a good show but I don't know if it has the longevity of other series....
