In the last couple of years I've lost some weight, but still love Quantum Leap. Having a crappy job means I can't come home and watch it on the T.V. so I decided to see if it was available on DVD. I was in luck, they had started releasing them and were up to season 3. Being ... ...good idea that was too!

I can sense by now that a few of you don't really have a clue what the programme is about. So I shall tell you a few things. First of all, its made by Donald P. Bellasario, the guy behind Magnum PI, JAG, NCIS and he worked on the original Battlestar Galactica. He's cool.
Now for what its actually about. Scientist Dr Sam Beckett (Scott Bakula in his uber hot days) is at the head of a time travel ...

Advantages: The complete 1st series in one boxset Disadvantages: none that I can think of!
I used to love Quantum Leap when I was younger and the chance to buy the first season at such siily prices was impossible to ignore!.
Quantum Leap represents one of the most original TV plot in years. Similar to the 1960's show "Time Tunnel" it differed in the way it allowed Sam to play different characters.
Doctor Sam Beckett is researching his theory that a man could travel within his own timeline. Unfortunately, in order to continue to receive ... ...era, what is pleasing with Quantum Leap is that it deals with events such as this without being heavy handed.

Advantages: Every episode in season 1 in one easy to store box set Disadvantages: I want every season!
This was a programme that I watched whilst at school, which we would then discuss the next day. I decided to buy it as it reminds me of my school days, plus I had been waiting for the BBC to repeat it and they have still not done.
The extras on this are great, about the series as a whole and the ideas behind it, before each episode you can choose for a little insight into the episode, Al's crazy clothing and cameos appearances. I know that theres ... ...What I like about this programme is how it's a lot more than sci-fi, which is something that put a lot of people off. Due to the time travel it can be classed as a period production, and it also covers other genres - comedy, romance, sport and action. It also covered changes in society, equal rights for women, black people and foreign people, prohibition and religion. There are some episodes which are beneficial for people who are studying about ...

Advantages: Full series of excellent series Disadvantages: none if you like the show!
Quantum Leap is an excellent Sci-Fi series, where Sam, the lead character, must travel back in time, 'leap' into someone's body and put right something that went wrong.
The first episode, a feature-length pilot, explains how Sam's time-travel started as en experiment that 'went a little ka-ka'. and how he must now put right these wrongs and hope that the next 'leap' is the leap home.
Quantum Leap was an extraordinaly popular series, and watching ...
