Story In 1945 Hitler began experimenting on people who were born with special abilities in the hope to create a super army. After the war when Hitler's doings weere uncovered other countries used his research and carried on these experiments setting up they're own divisions accross the world. Although abilities between these people vary there are main types: Watchers can see glimpses of the future, Movers move objects with their mind. Pushers can make peple believe anything they wish, Bleeders can scream so high pitched that they can make peoples ears bleed. Stitches can heal people, Sniffs can take an object and get a scense of it's history and it's owner, Wipers can erase peoples memories while shadows can hide things from sniffers. The film begins a decade ago with a young boy named Nick and hs father are running through a hotel, being chased by the division. Kira herself has just managed to escape from one of the division's facilities after being injected with an experimental serum which will either kill her or make her more powerful. In order to protect Kira and save their kind Nick and Cassie enlist the help of other people with powers but can they be any match for the Division?

My Expeirence This film would of totally passed me by, I had never heard of it or anything about and only came across it by accident while looking round the dvds in my local supermarket, I quite enjoy the TV show Heroes which does have some simialrites and love Lucky Number Slevin by the same director so I decided that I must watch this. Although action packed this is a film that you really have to concentrate on to totally get the plot, there are quite a few twists and turns and the film tends to flit about a bit but all gets explained sooner or later. There are great performances from Dakota Fanning and Camilla Belle but leading man Chris evans isn't always convincing. I did really enjoy this, like I said it is a little like Heroes except much more gritty , with funky camera angles and a pretty cool soundtrack, which gives the movie a more realistic feel. As for the special powers most would be great to have especially being able to Push ideas and thoughts into other people's minds but wa left wondering what the point of Bleeders were, it's a rubbish power.
Overall I found it quite and enjoyable film, fans of Heroes and similar shows and films will enjoy.

Production Year: 2007 - Science Fiction - Director: Francis Lawrence - Original Language: English - Classification: 15 years and over - Starring: Alice Braga, Charlie Tahan, Dash Mihok, Will Smith, Salli Richardson, Willow Smith
Hadn't heard of this movie before, sounds quite an original plot-I'd probably have to watch it on my own though so I don't start talking in the middle of it and miss something important....concentration is not one of my strong points! Nicely Reviewed!
Advantages: A bit of a black comedy, interesting setting, some great lines, great cast Disadvantages: a bit predictable, more geared towards men, slightly limp ending
