I already owned the pump it up beach body and pump it up high energy (see my other ops) i decided to add to my collection by buying the pump it up dancemix dvd as it looked great fun. This dvd is similar to the others as it has the warm up, tone it up, cool down and dance sections.
WARM IT UP DURATION- this section lasts for about 8 minutes EXERCISES-This section includes lots of stretching exercises and side steps to help you to warm up and to avoid any injury. MY OPINION- I think that this section is an appropriate length of time and it is quite energetic compared to some other warm ups on dvds.
TONE IT UP DURATION-This section lasts about 10 minutes EXERCISES-This section includes lots of lunges, squats and leg lifts to help tone you bum and thighs. MY OPINION- I think this section is great as you can really feel it toning your upper thighs and bum. I do feel that it should have more exercises to tone your abdomen however there are sit ups included in the cool down.
DANCEMIX 1,2,3 In the dance mix section it is split into 3 seperate dance mixes. each dance mix gets harder as there is more complicated moves and the pace is increased. The easiest dancemix is the first one so you should start with it and build up to the second and third. DURATION- Each dancemix lasts about 8-10 minutes. EXERCISES- This section includes a wide variety of different dance moves and aerobic exercises. If you are struggling to keep up you can always go back to the rescue move which is strutting. MY OPINION- I really like the dancemix section as it is really fun and energetic. Also the main dancer gareth shows you the moves before you join in and do them. I do however find the dance mix 3 quite hard to do as it is quite a fast ace and has some complicated moves.
COOL IT OFF DURATION-This section lasts about 5 minutes EXERCISES- This section includes stretching movements and sit ups. MY OPINION- I think that this section is an appropriate length of time as i will often miss the cool off even though i know you shouldn't if it is too long.
DANCERS The dancers are the main dancer Gareth and he has three other dancers which look very attractive and make you want to do the work out so that you can look like them. I do however find the main dancer Gareth a little annoying.
The dvd also includes videos for some of the songs that are in the workout. It also includes a behind the scenes documentary with interviews with the dancers.
MUSIC The music on the dvd includes fedde le grand, booty luv, alex gaudino, mason and eric prydz
Overall opinion I really like this dvd as the music is modern and great fun to workout to. Also the dance moves are really fun once you get the hang of them. However i do find the main dancer a little annoying. I think this is a great dvd to dance yourself fit and the more often you do it the more of the dancemixes you manage to do.

This sounds good to do in a group or alone if bashfull. I trot along to two aerobics classes which involve warm ups and stretches followed by high impact travelling moves followed by circuit training followed by cool down and stretch out. They have become like a drug to me now and I love going... Your review was enjoyable. Thanks. J.

Advantages: You lose weight, Tone your body whilst have fun.. Disadvantages: The dancemoves can be a little tricky and unexplained.. The presenter has a really annoying voice!! ARGHH!!
