I have watched both the original Pyscho and the new version. And without a doubt The Hitchcock version is by far the best. There is something about the original that steams over the revised version. Norman Bates was more convincing, the setting was more convincing, in fact the whole movie was. Don't get me wrong the new movie has it's place, youngster probably wouldn't watch the original even though we know its better. However, they would watch one at the movies. The two films do run parallel in storyline, most of the time. But in my opinion you can't usually beat the originals.
