Some of my observations on photography

Advantages: Pleasure, exercise and fresh air
Disadvantages: Rapidly becomes very costly

would recommend Manfrotto. It is not the cheapest but they do make a very sturdy product. I am using a tripod (028B) that is at least 10 years old and will last my lifetime and would probably still be in use with any grand children, if I had any. I also use the Hama "Star 63" lighter weight for ease of transport and medium weight camera and lens. There are light weight models made of carbon fibre on the market that can support heavy loads and is easily portable, but I have found that due to their own intrinsic light weight, they can be sensitive to wind when using a long range and heavy lens. I have both types, used for different situations. Then there is the monopod. This is easier to use than a tripod and again can be made of carbon fibre or of metals. An Introduction to Photography for Amateurs

Advantages: Great fun, A hobby that can create an income, produces artwork for your home, etc etc!
Disadvantages: Can get expensive...

Mike Bassett for England

Advantages: An absolutely faultless flick in which EVERY cinematic element is 100%
Disadvantages: You will want to watch it time and time again!!!

Mike Bassett: England Manager is a comedy and an absolutely hilarious one at that!! This is actually one of the few comedy films that is actually far funnier than it's teaser trailer!! In fact, it is so funny that it makes me feel proud to be English in that this film, in my opinion is THE Brit-flick of 2001!! Ricky Tomlinson (of 'The Royle Family' fame) plays Mike Bassett, a down and out football manager who is chosen to manage the England team. The film follows his time as England manager and the trials and tribulations that come along with such a post. Scarily enough, many of what goes on actually reflects real life football as we know it; contributing to it's hilarity!!
