America, Michael Scofield (Wentworth Miller) and his brother Lincoln Burrows (Dominic Purcell), must evade capture at all costs and survive long enough to clear their names. As their band of dangerous fugitives goes its seperate ways, uneasy alliances are made, shocking secrets are revealed, a sinister government cover-up spins wildly out of control, and the vile, psychopathic T-Bag leaves a gruesome trail of corpses in his wake. Now, with time running out for Michael and Linclon, there's no turning back in this electrifying, action-packed volume of Prison Break.
something of a predicament. There are no spoilers here, but rest assured that the pace, the energy and the sheer brass that defined the first half are all present and correct here. What's refreshing about the show, particularly in the current TV climate where series such asLostalways seem to be holding back so that they can eek out another season, is thatPrison Breaknever really loses its momentum, and rarely swerves to avoid what's in its way. Granted, in among the episodes in this boxset you'll find one devoted purely to back story, yet even that proves to have a significant place in thePrison Breakworld.Of course, to enjoy the show the same rules apply as they did to the first half of the series. You need to throw ideas of realism towards the window, and you need to accept that each episode will tick off another in the series of prison clichés you were probably expecting when you got going with episode one all that time back. But heck, this isexcitingtelevision, featuring genuine cliffhangers, a series of characters you can't help but either root for or hiss and boo at, and a great deal of slick, fast entertainment. --Simon Brew

If you've seen the 1st series of Prison Break, no doubt you'll be watching the second series. If you haven't seen the 1st series, then watch it before reading this review as it may spoil what happens.
There are 22 episodes for Season 2.
***STORYLINE*** Michael Scofield (Wentworth Miller) and his wrongly-convicted brother Lincoln Burrows (Dominic Purcell) must lead a dangerous band of hardened fugitives on a deadly cross-country chase. They will risk everything to expose a sinister government conspiracy, and fight desperately to stay alive until the day they can stop running. Wanted, hunted, betrayed and double-crossed, the Fox River Eight are over the wall and on the run in the explosive and unpredictable second season of Prison Break.
With Special Agent Mahone (William Fichtner) on their backs and working out where they'll be travelling to next, we get to learn more about the characters and their past, and we also meet new characters.
Who will come to their fate is this action packed second series, and who will survive the chase across the country?
***CHARACTERS*** The main characters from the 1st series are in this 2nd series of Prison Break. We also meet some new characters.
Agent Bill Kim, works for the President as a secret service agent. Played by Reggie Lee, also appeared in 'Fast and the Furious', and 2 of the 'Pirates of the Caribbean' films.
Alexander Mahone, is a FBI special agent in charge of finding the escaped convicts and leading the search. (This character was described as the best new character of the second season) Played by William Fichtner, also appeared in 'Crash', 'Contact', 'Heat', 'Armageddon' and more films.
Terrence Steadman, plays the murdered brother. Played in the 2nd series by Jeff Perry, has also appeared in 'Nash Bridges', 'Cold Case', 'Grey's Anatomy' and more.
***SPECIAL EFFECTS*** There is a lot more action and a lot more special effects used in the second series. It contains explosions and a lot of gun-shoot outs, as well as quite a bit of blood. All special effects are done very well and look very real.
***AVALIABLE FOR PURCHASE*** Prison break season 2 is available to buy for about £44.99 from HMV and other good retailers. (Released 20-08-2007), Age 15.
Prison Break season 1 & 2 will be released as a box set on 19-11-2007. You can pre-order this now from the HMV website.
***DVD SPECIAL FEATURES*** - Audio Commentaries - Turning Dallas into America - Featurette - Prison Break theme - Ferry Corsten Breakout Mix - Easter Egg - Episode 1 from 24 Season 6
***OVERALL OPINION*** The second series has been more tense and has had me gripped to the seat. As soon as I've watched one episode, I can't wait to see the other one.
More variety in this series, as all the prisoners split up and go their separate ways. With a special Agent on their backs, working out where they'll travel to next, we get to learn more about the characters and their pasts and what lengths they'll go to, to keep hidden away from the law.
With an easy to follow, fantastic story line, this season will definitely keep you hooked all the way until the end.
Advantages: Many characters with diverse motives, needs, hiistories and chacters Disadvantages: Can't think of any except I can't wait for what happens next
I only recently heard about Prison Break but after I watch one episode, I was hooked. It's a nerve wrenching story of how a group of prisoners break out of prison and an unfolding story of why they are being hunted down with such dexterity.
what complicates things is that while just about escaping from prison, one of the convicts who could not make it mentioned there was some stolen money hidden away somewhere. Prisoners as they were, this led to ... ...of those that were trying to bring them to book got wind of it and that diluted their motives for finding them. Why the fbi are looking for them is a question you'll have to find out by watching.
I will not ruin it bu telling you all that happened but I tell you if you enjoy watching things like 24, you will definitely like this one. I think what i found most catching about it is that there are so many twists and more people so guessing what this ...

Not To Be Missed! Review ofPrison Break - Series 2 Vol.1 (Box Set) (DVD)by
djgoldstar
Advantages: Action Packed, Great Cliff-Hangers Disadvantages: Non
For all fans of Fox's Prison Break, this cannot be missed. The second series (currently being shown on Five) is every bit as good as the first. Jam packed with action, twists and turns around every corner and full of cliff hangers. This is US TV at its best. One of the best drama series made in recent years. Fans of Lost or 24 should definately give Prison Break a look.
This DVD begins where season 1 left off. Schofield and friends escape from Fox ... ...being caught. All to clear his brother's (Lincoln) name.
I do not want to spoil the fun for anyone not seen the DVD yet so I wont go into too much detail, but the first couple of episodes concentrate on the escapees and how they deal with running from the law. Tweener finds there is a surprise in store once he escapes and as the group spilts up to take their own path government agent Malone (new character) is given the tough job of tracking all ...

Advantages: The show never lets up. There are suprises everywhere! Disadvantages: There can only be a limited amount of Prison Break :(
What can I say? This is drama at it's best! Following the convicts breakout from prison, they are now on the run not just from the law, but from eachother aswell!
Linc's character eventually comes to life, and Michael is as unpredictable, but genius as ever!
In the first part of this series, there are twists and turns everywhere. Mallone is right begind the convicts, especially Schofield and Burrows, but Michael Schofield always manages to be one ... ...showing no signs or tiring, or of giving up.
This fast paced, thrilling, and unpredictable drama is absolutely fantastic and keeps you on your toes through every episode.
When series one ended, I thought the writers would be hard pushed to match it's cult status, but they've somehow managed it, and suprisingly, unlike many other prequils, series two has beaten its former series!!
It's hard to beleive but it's true.
It you've watched the first ...
