For a long time I hesitated on whether or not to buy Prison Break, I had seen few advertisements announcing its arrival in the UK and so never tuned in to watch the pilot and the rest of the series on Channel 5. As a huge fan of Lost and Desperate Housewives and having watched all the released episodes (several times!) I was desperate for something new. I eventually decided to give Prison Break a go and purchased the series one part one DVD. I have to say that from the very first episode to the last I was tatally captivated! The quality of the storyline and twist and turns in every episode kept me glued to the TV. I always say that the best TV gives you a rollercoster of emotions. This is no more true than in Prison Break. In one episode you go from laughing to crying to excitement to frustration to joy to nervousness to dissapointment to elation. One thing I noticed with Prison Break is that the story is not dragged out as it is in Lost. Every episode is packed with action and details necessary to the plot. Also in each episode of Prison Break there are questions and answers wheras in lost every episode is just packed with questions and you have to wait to season 3 to get part of the answer!
Prison Break is basically what it says on the tin. Michael Scofield's (The main character played by Wentworth Miller) brother Lincoln Burrows (Dominic Purcell) has been sentenced to death for a crime he didn't comit. Michael, a structural engineer with a great job, house and everything to lose fakes a bank robery, and is sentenced to 5 years in Fox river penitentiay, the same prison as his brother. Armed with the prison blueprints tatoed over his body, Michael has devised a cunning plan to escape with Lincoln before it is too late. However things are never that simple especially when he requires the assistance of some of the prison's most vile and dangerous inmates.
The cast for Prison Break is amazing and I think each actor is brilliant at conveying their character. Wentworth Miller does an excellent job acting Michael Scofield as does Dominic Purcell in his portrayal of Lincoln Burrows. One of my favourite characters has to be T-Bag, a bisexual who preys on vulnurable inmates! played Robert Knepper. I also like Sucre, Michael's cell mate. In fact I loved all the Characters!
Dominic Purcell - Lincoln Burrows Wentworth Miller - Michael Scofield Robin Tunney - Veronica Donovan Peter Stormare - John Abruzzi Amaury Nolasco - Fernando Sucre Marshall Allman - LJ Burrows Wade Williams -Captain Brad Bellick Paul Adelstein - Agent Paul Kellerman Robert Knepper - Theodore "T-Bag" Bagwell Sarah Wayne Callies - Dr. Sara Tancredi
I payed £30 for my copy of Prison Break Season 1 part one which is episodes 1-13 from Woolworths, however I would advise you to buy the full season, all 22 episodes as you will not be dissapointed and it costs only £32 on amazon!
p.s. if you enjoyed Bad Girls you will love Prison Break!

Good review! But if you want to grab those all-important Very Helpful ratings, you'd be best off writing into Microsoft Word first or something with a spellchecker so you can correct any mistakes you make. A little detail on the extras would've been nice too. But... good review.
