Prison Break is one of the most clever and creative story lines to ever grace the earth. It follows the lives of 7 convicts who plan to escape from the Fox River prison which is a seemingly impossible task. Very early in we learn that two of the men organising this escape are brothers and one (Lincoln Burrows) is sentenced to death for killing the vice presidents brother. a murder he swears to not have committed. His brother (Michael Scofield) is intent on busting him out... but he encounters some very substancial problems along the way.
Story
The story and plot to prison break is pure amazing. the whole set is very professional and the viewer can almost feel like they are in the scene with the characters. the story is very creative and includes some rather genius ideas. the directors really did succeed when they tried to create an accurate image of a prison life and the corruption found in prison. the whole thing is very realistic.
Characters Performances
All the characters in this series play their parts flawlessly if i wasnt aware that this was just a tv series i would have said the actors were actually the characters they are based upon. the acting is superb and constant through out. Wenworth Miller (who plays Michael Scofield) is the perfect match for the role of main character.
Special Effects
In terms of special effects there arent really any in this series but the cuts and wounds shown are very realistic and cant be sold as fakes.
Comparison with other similar films/series
Prison Break by far is a cut above all the other prison break out films released (not that there are many) but this one is very realistic and addictive to watch. you are always on the edge of your seat with the constant suspense that surrounds the whole series.
Would i recommend it?
Absolutely to anyone with a bit of taste you dont even have to like prison films to enjoy watching this because it is just so much better than your average run of the mill series. it gets addictive and the acting is a real stunner through out.

I see you've posted this as a DVD review, but you've not mentioned the DVD features. Are there any extras? If so, what are they and are they any good?
