Pretty Woman
I am reviewing the DVD Pretty Woman Starring Richard Gere & Julia Roberts.
What do you get if you cross a top businessman with a hooker – This Movie…. Simple as that.
Julia Roberts plays Vivian a street walker who is skint and just by chance one night picks up a gentlemen (Richard Gere) who is looking for directions, She hops in, gives him directions and of course he invites her up.
The two get on very well and he then hires her to stay with him all week as part of a business plan and she gladly accepts as she is getting paid loads of money for it. This means she has to go out buy the best of clothes with an unlimited amount of money, attend all these dinner interviews, be a lady.. Something Vivian Has Never Been Used To.
How ever this business arrangement turns into a love affair between the two. But how can a hooker and a businessman work this out…
My Opinion
Great movie, excellent casting, brilliant storyline – Loved It Julia Roberts is a outstanding actress, she can act in anything and make it work. This role she has to be a hooker, she had the look, the attitude and the beauty to go with it. She’s brilliant, Richard Gere – He can always pull off the great roles of the businessman, I don’t think he suits any other roles unless he’s in a suit or a uniform. He was superb in this, he picked up a hooker and still made the audience love him, as he was not the usual type, he wanted to help her then seduce her.
The storyline made you feel for the characters, you understood how they felt, you can relate to problems and see how they do things and why. That means it’s a great story line.
The movie also has a great soundtrack with the song pretty woman and wild women do – the 2 main songs in the movie.
