Pretty Woman
This is the story of a rich successful business man who hires a hooker to pretend to be his girlfriend for the week, as they endure numerous business dates with clients. Truly professional until they fall for each other..
Edward Lewis (gere) is a top business man, and he has come into the city for a week. On his journey he comes across Vivian, who gives him directions to a hotel. Vivian (Roberts) is a small time hooker, who hooks to earn the rent on their flat. Edward takes her in to the hotel with him, and gives her an offer she cannot refuse - Spend the week with him, and earn $3000 - She cannot refuse aswell as spending money for new clothes. Throughout the week, the two attend business dinners, opera, horses etc, and it was all unbelievable for Vivian who had nothing like this in her life.
She was over whelmed completely, however she stilled remained a hooker, no kissing on the lips she was professional like that, until one night, she realised she fell in Love. But the week was almost up, and they probably will never see each other again, as he's only in town on business and she has her own life in the Streets, So will they work it out? Or go their separate ways…
My Opinion
A very very entertaining movie, with the top cast performances, and excellent acting throughout. I thoroughly enjoyed this film, I am a big fan of Julia Roberts and this was her biggest movie which made her into the star she is today - she was very young in this film, but it was her big break into the world of movies. She dazzled the screen in this romance movie, she was excellent, stunning, and believable, and she made a very pretty hooker. Julia has the most beautiful smile; I think that's what makes her so amazing, her smile. Her character went through so many different feelings throughout the film, and Julia perceived them so well. Richard Gere played the top class businessman, he was brilliant, he had the luck, the charm and the acting skills to pull it off, he is a natural. He remained a professional businessman throughout the movie, and you could also see the feelings he was having for Vivian, as they starting to show. Very touching film. Other cast members include Hector Elizondo, who starred as the hotel manager, who helps Vivian transform from hooker to top class woman. He is a favourite of the Director Garry Marshell as he has casted Hector in numerous films he directed.
All in all - excellent movie - Excellent cast - fun for all the family, there is the off naughty scene, so I would be careful of your childrens watching, but it is very minor.
