Advantages: Great Arnie film Disadvantages: Nothing really
...through the jungle, an unseen predator hunts Dutch and his men for no apparent reason, and it will take all their guile and experience to combat this new and deadly foe.
The Cast and Performances
Arnie is a mean machine in this film, and he is joined by an array of musclebound stars in his mission. His performance is very good, but does not require as much acting, as this is a largely action based role with the sci-fi and special effects aspect ... ...hunter becoming the hunted. The Predator is a marvel in special effects, and the FX team must get as shout out to them, although the man who wore the suit, Kevin Peter Hall, said he couldn 't see a damn thing with the mask on. The scenery is well chosen, with filming being taken in the jungle. The actors had to be buff all the way through the film, and it is reported that director John McTiernan and lead man Arnie lost a stone each due to the nature ...

Advantages: ACTION PACKED. ARNOLD SCHWARZENEGGER Disadvantages: UGLY ALIEN
INTRO
I first saw Predator back when it was released in 1987 which I had on a terrible pirate copy (at 12 years of age that's not a problem). You take in a lot at that age and given that this was rated 18 could of only been damaging to my health but likely I've turned out OK (don't go around Tesco's with guns).
It was'nt until later in my unhinged teens that I began to really apprecate Predator . I have seen every Arnold Schwarzenegger film you ... ...MY VIEWS
The Predator works very well with help from director John McTiernan (Die Hard) the pace is quick, the tension is sharpe and the music is spot on (make sure to have volume up high). Arnold Schwarzenegger put's in a good solid performance as Dutch and so does Carl Weathers as Major George Dillon.
Watch out for the character Blain (Jesse Ventura) and his strap on helicopter gun totally formidable and the undetectable invisible heat seeking ...

Advantages: ACTION, EXPLOSIONS AND ARNIE OF COURSE!!! Disadvantages: Why did Billy have to die???
...first time i watched The Predator my experience was slightly ruined with my cousin telling me what was about to happen 2 minutes before it actually happened......but despite this the movie left a lasting impression and NOTHING (not even an annoying blabbing cousin) prepares you for the final confrontation and the predators mask removal. I watched it again some years later and although i'd only seen it once i found myself completely immersed in it. ...

Advantages: Dont look away Disadvantages: not for the jumpy faint hearted
This film is wicked, it had me sat on the edge of my seat. This film is certainly worth watching, the story line is the troop was sent to rescue a hostage, but unbeknown to the rest of the troop, that this invisible creature with certain powers, appeared out of nowhere, and this would make me and my oldest son jump out of our skin, the creature was able to show itself as quick as it disappeared, and would kill, I wont reveal too much of the film, ...

...bulging everywhere and delivering some great lines and the supporting are just as outrageous. The suspense builds alongs the action very well and the final showdown between Arnie and the Predator is like quite spectacular. I would recommend this film to anyone who likes some pure unadulterated action. ...

Plot: Recruited by the CIA to rescue hostages held by guerrilla fighters in a Central American country, the commandos encounter an enemy more deadly than any on earth - because the Predator is not of this earth...
DVD Description
In the remote jungle of a Central American country, an elite group of commandos led by Major Dutch Schaeffer (Arnold Schwarzenegger), embarks on a CIA mission to clear out a guerrilla stronghold and rescue the remaining hostages. However, the hunters become the hunted when a highly intelligent, otherwordly being slowly and methodically starts killing off members of Dutch's team. Possessing a chameleonlike camouflaging ability and a deadly alien arsenal, the creature tracks down the soldiers one by one. Director John McTiernan's film is a thrilling high-action flick, filled with great one-liners (courtesy of Schwarzenegger, Jesse Ventura, and the rest of the cast) and excellent special effects.
