With the release of Alien Vs predator and the two disk special edition Predator 2 DVD's comes the collector's edition box set of predator 1 and 2!!
Predator is a pure killing machine that kills for fun, an alien who sees in infra red vision who can spot its pray by seeking body heat and has a brilliant sense of seeking hostile weaponry. A true predator to be scared of!
The two DVD collectors edition contains both films with bonus disks packed full of extras.
Predator 1
Predator 1 stars Arnold schwarzenegger in a action packed fight for survival!, a crack team of US solders are sent into jungle in central America to rescue hostages held by guerrilla fighters, as the story leads on "dutch" (schwarzenegger) finds out his mission is not a rescue mission but purely a mission to destroy a massive surveillance sight occupied by the gorillas. After finding another Us team of solders skinned alive, betrayed by his ex comrade and friend, Arnold gets his team and heads of to the pick up point. Here starts the killing spree! One by one the crack team of solders are picked off one by one, a truly gripping film that makes excellent viewing! A film not for the slight stomach either. Classic film lines like "if it bleeds we can kill it" and " you one ugly m***********" makes this film stand out against any other alien attempt at a film, the latter saying was also used in both Pradator 2 and A Vs P!

Predator 2
This time predator returns in down town Los Angeles, a city with hardly any law run by and in chaos thanks to large gang warfare! Once again the predator is out to hunt for sport, killing anything with a weapon in its hand, This time the predator comes better equipped with greater offensive weapons and a need to kill like nothing you have ever seen!, Danny Glover stars as a hard headed cop out to try stop the gang warfare and soon finds himself up against a team of officers trying to capture the creature and up against the creature its self! As one of Glovers police friends is killed by the predator at a mass murder scene Glover himself trays to hunt the predator down, finding out that a team has been set up to catch it, and has been tracking its movements for weeks. Setting up a trap for the predator the team go into a slaughterhouse to catch it but the predator has other ideas as the team have underestimated its power and technology. Another gripping film, for me not as good as the first but still every enjoyable!,

The packaging consists of two DVD cases, which hold both the movie and bonus disks for each film, placed inside a sturdy card casing!
you can buy this box set for £29.99 from all good stores. but if you are not bothered about the s/edition case than you can buy the first film for about £6 and the second fof £14.99... ( from music zone) :)

...his films which is why predator 1 remains at the top of my favourite films. If you are not familiar with the premise here it goes;
A small team of comandos have been assigned a mission to bring to safety airmen who have been kidnapped by terrorists. They are sent deep into an American Jungle but as they complete their rescue, they realise something more deadly is hunting them. Bring in the predator - an alien hunter who collects human parts for ... ...particularly scary but with the predator being able to make himself be invisible, it provides some haunting moments. Arnold Schwarzenegger is brilliant as Dutch who takes it upon himself to try and protect everybody. The DVD also has some good features such as outtakes and interviews.
What lets this dvd set down is predator 2. The story;

The first Predator movie is an action classic, with it's then pioneering in-your-face, first-person action sequences, setting a standard for action movies of the late 80's. This is also one of Arnie's best movies after the Terminator films(bar number 3), with some great "dialogue" between Arnie's character Dutch and Dillon, played by Carl Weathers - not forgetting Arnie's one-liners like "knock, knock" and "stick around".
The DVD itself ... ...scenes and outtakes.
Now, Predator 2 is not really a sequal, but a different story invloving the Predator, set in Los Angeles in the then future 1997. The film stands up on its own as a solid action movie, with a great performance from Danny Glover in the lead. It has that infamous scene with the "Alien" skull in the trophy room of the Predator ship, which spawned the Alien Vs Predator comics, and ofcourse the inevitable movie.

...infrared images from the "Predator". Predator 2 is a good movie but it misses the character of Dutch as in the book the movie should have been based on- "Concrete Jungle". Bit creepy feel to it with the dark shots used. Like the ending scene inside the Pred ship (note the "Aliens" skull in the background !)but could do without the character of Jerry Lambert. ...In the second film the predator has come to LA. Arnie is not in this movie, instead we have Danny Glover (Lethal Weapon movies). The film is centred around a cop investigating the brutal killing of some gangsters. Little does he know its an alien hunter.
The box set is good if you like action sci-fi movies. The first movies is very good though is let down by the sequel. ...

This has to be one the most action thrilled DVDs i have ever watched it is pacted with gun fights and the muscle man arnie.
if you like guns and guns battles you will love these films.and you can watch the second film straight after you watch the first how cool is that. Basically in the first one there is a creature in the woods and it has a laser torpedoes and lots more and it is stripping people of there skin. anyway arnold gets in a one on one ...
