Predator (Definitive Edition)

Advantages: A nice box, a good game
Disadvantages: The film and most of the special features

I had not seen Predator for about 18 years, despite already having it in my DVD collection however I decided that with my HMV vouchers I’d splash out and buy the “Definitive Edition”. The case is rather cleverly done, in the shading etc. The case is one of the ever increasing steelbook editions, basically a tin box. Definitive edition release try to get the best quality print possible of a movie and its special features on DVD form, for those I assume too tight-fisted to go out and by a Blue –Ray or High Definition DVD player. An all time classic. Probabley not the best film to watch if you are not an Arnie fan, but I have to say....it is fantastic. Must have seen it a dozen times and is certainly a film that made Arnie. Plenty of action and despite the obvious plot, holds some surprises. It is cheesey but this has to be in the top ten of action films. No hold bar thrills!!!

I have always loved this film from the moment I saw it in the cinema twenty years ago. The monster is grotesque yet somehow close enough to the human form to be worryingly familiar. Schwarzenegger is at his best as a very human hero desperately trying to get out of an impossible situation in the middle of a ever dangerous jungle. What can i say arnie in predator absolutly brilliant, i have owned this movie for years it is a great flick. This addition is great and i would recommend it to any action buffs in for a good time.

...classic sci-fi films alien and predator come to mind. Here is the original predator movie for you to see how such a huge franchise started. Firstly I realise arnie isnt everyones cupof tea. I wouldnt worry about that in this movie as he gives a decent performance and is backed by some better actors who help bring everything together. This movie is original and stil brilliant. ...it on DVd then this is for you. If you want to be a fan the same appies. Before you watch any sequal in a ny from you need to see this first. The music is good but not very memorable. It does set tense moments well however and you will be on the edge of your seat at times. The movie isnt a simple monster movie.
