Advantages: Great Arnie film Disadvantages: Nothing really
...By 1987, Arnold Schwarzenegger had established himself as one of the top leading men in Hollywood, with roles in Conan the Barbarian, Terminator and Commando cementing his position. He has a high turnover with films, and 1987 saw two more stormers come from the muscleman. The first of these was Predator, a film that combines the elements of sci-fi, horror and action, and features an alien species attacking a band of soldiers on a jungle rescue mission. One-liners aplenty in this one.
The Plot
Dutch Schaefer and his crack team of US Army Special Forces are sent to the jungles of Val Verde to rescue a US cabinet minister captured by guerillas. Sonja's sister manages to get a message to the musclebound Lord Kalidor to reach Sonja, which he...

Advantages: Great scenery, Arnie's English improves slightly Disadvantages: Lacks the brutal punch of Conan
...creatures and fantastical events than Barbarian, which opted for a more raw, Bronze Age type feel, and many have actually criticised it for lacking the brutal edge of the first film, but Destroyer has its own place as a film, and does appeal to the wider audience, so it does balance out in the end.
Conclusion
A decent sequel, but not a patch on Conan the Barbarian.
