Advantages: Great for toddlers Disadvantages: bit too short
...I used to love PostmanPat as a child,. so I was pleasantly surprised when I saw a newer version on TV. My Son (3) also seemed delighted, and that's why we decided to get a PostmanPatDVD. PostmanPat Clowns around consists of 3 episodes, each around 15-20 minutes long. All 3 episodes are entertaining, and my son's enjoyed watching this DVD over and over and over. The only slight niggle is the length, which comes in at just under an hour. I don't think I'd pay over £4 for it, because of the length. The animation has been greatly improved, the set completely re-designed, some characters sadly forgotten and some new ones introduced. Whatever happened to Granny Dryden, Miss Hubbard, Major Forbes and Sam Waldron? Who knows? New characters have arrived on the scene: Ajay...

Characters have been introduced over the years, and these characters have created more stories and antics for children to follow. As can be seen PostmanPats son was not introduced into the cartoon until ten years after it was first aired. Modern day cartoon episodes strongly feature PostmanPat as a family man.
