The Anniversary ---------------------- This year marks the 25th anniversary of the Postman Pat series running on BBC. The first generation of little Postman Pat fans are all grown up now and some of them may be buying this DVD for their own children. The first ever episode, titled Pat's Finding Day, aired on 16th September 1981. The Great Big Party DVD was released on 18th September 2006, exactly 25 years later. Postman Pat Then and Now -------------------------------------- During these 25 years the imaginary village of Greendale has seen a lot of changes. The animation has been greatly improved, the set completely re-designed, some characters sadly forgotten and some new ones introduced. Whatever happened to Granny Dryden, Miss Hubbard, Major Forbes and Sam Waldron? Who knows? New characters have arrived on the scene ...

Advantages: A great fun packed DVD - great value for money

Advantages: fun
Disadvantages: none

to the screen and this s probably the only show to hold his attention until the very end. I even find myself drawn in to the somewhat chaotic life of Postman Pat and his mad cap deliveries that are always going wrong but you can guarantee that they will always be delivered on time! Because this show is a lot different from the old one they have a new soundtrack which is still similar to the old one but with the "Special Delivery Service" part added in and the music certainly seems a lot funkier than it used to. There seems to have been a lot of shows made in this series because it has now been on for a good few weeks and doesn't appear to be finishing anytime soon. I have also seen t for sale on DVD format in my local Woolworth's but the DVD does only have a selected few shows and not the whole series which is a shame. I ...
