DVD Description
In this funny documentary exploring the many talents of porn star Ron Jeremy, whose stout physical build and hairy back earned him the nickname The Hedgehog, director Scott J. Gill explores the actor from every possible angle while carefully avoiding hard core content. Bubbling with personality, Jeremy is extroverted and perverted, he loves attention of any kind, and he boasts a bold sexual aptitude (which viewers of his movies can certainly assert). Having starred in hundreds of films ranging from the campy THREE FOXES AND A DWEEB (which he directed, casting himself in the role of a professor whose students are especially eager to learn) to the trashy SNATCH MASTERS series (Jeremy starred in parts 9 through 12), this porn star has certainly been around the block. However, PORN STAR is not all breathy bedroom scenes, nor is laugh-out-loud comedy. The documentary focuses in to reveal a more human, lonely, vulnerable side of Jeremy that may make viewers reconsider the idea that the porn industry is all fun and games. In fact, maintaining such a prolific career has not been easy for Jeremy, and has taken a toll on his personal relationships. However, that does not subtract from Jeremy's celebrity status in the porn niche or his avid fan base.
Advantages: Sweet and romantic, Quite funny, Elisha Cuthbert, Nudity Disadvantages: More for the teenage lads
...the cast seem very suitable for this type of movie. There are the stereotypical jocks and geeks like in other American teen movies and it mixes in some manly men, strippers and pornstars. Matthew, Eli and Klitz are classed as the 'geek' crowd and I think they are very suitable for their roles due to them not having a very mature look to each of them. A very strange mix but I think they go together nicely in this movie. It features Kelly (Timothy Olphant) as a big shot adult movie director as 'the man' and is a good inclusion to stand in the way of Matthew, whom is seen as 'the boy' who is introduced into a very unfamiliar and very adult orientated world from his sheltered life.
This is a teen romantic comedy movie. It is not quite a 'Laugh Out Loud' comedy but the comedy elements are a lot more subtle and can make you giggle. I think it...

Advantages: Some good moments of suspense. Good scene setting. Disadvantages: Lost it's story to some daft horror scenes.
...***I Am Legend***
This film is a kind of disaster movie; but not in the usual pattern that I was expecting. I enjoy watching end of the world type scenario's like The Day After Tomorrow or Independence Day - big action films, when humanity pulls together to save the world. However, although the film does centre on disease killing off the population, here the similarity ends.
The 15 certificate is a clue that this is not family entertainment and the film is a lot darker than the aforementioned films.
The main hero of the piece is played by Will Smith as Robert Neville who appears to be the sole survivor in New York of a plague that has rapidly killed off the inhabitants of the city.
The film follows his search for other possible survivors; a search that takes years rather than weeks. Robert Neville is also a scientist (as luck...

Advantages: A chance to see John Lennon again Disadvantages: We can't have him back
...Lennon and McCartney were immense influences on my life and on the lives of millions of fans and musicians. This review is about ‘Lennon Legend’ – a DVD of songs and footage of John and Yoko way back when we were all a lot younger and the gods of rock were the real deal.
The fashion icons, John and Yoko start off the DVD seen from behind as they walk through a misty lane, up a drive to the door of a mansion. They walk in silence as the first verse of Imagine starts playing. Then they disappear into thin air and we are inside the house with John playing in a white room, with white furniture, as Yoko goes around the white walls letting light in at the white-shuttered windows. If you’ve not heard this song before – and this seems barely conceivable – it holds a wish for peace and a world with no wars, religious hatred, and Nationalistic...
