    Advantages Advantages Drew Barrymore, trashy and fun.

    Disadvantages Disadvantages Not a fantastic script

    Those who read my reviews regularly will probably know that I LOVE Drew Barrymore, and one of my trashy secret loves is the psycho bitch from hell thrillers that were in abundants in the 90’s, Poison Ivy is the perfect mix of the two. It perfectly adds sex, seduction, murder, obsession, love and hate in one spiteful little film, which while not being particularly original, is supremely entertaining and trashy, sexy fun.     Released in 1992, this film seems older than that but still so watchable! "One look and you can tell she's trouble. The bleached blonde hair, the pouting lips, the skirt just short enough to show off the tattoo on her thigh..." The Plot ------------------- 'Ivy' moves schools and befriends geeky outsider Cooper. Cooper loves the newcomers style and they become best friends, soon Ivy moves in with the family and it seems she's loving the new family life she has.     Poison Ivy stars Drew Barrymore and is a fairly good film. It is about a girl named Ivy who befriends another girl and becomes her best friend. The girl's mom is terminally ill with cancer and has often thought about taking her own life, and Ivy betrays the trust of all those around her and pushes her off the balcony (she says it's euthanasia but it is acutally murder). The girl is seductive and after the mother is dead she decides to go after the father... the film is okay but I did not watch the entire thing. Maybe it is worth a look. ... more
