To start with the simple stuff, this is very well packaged. Not too busy on the front with a minimum use of colour, so it really draws the eye. It is rated as Uc, which means even babies can watch it.
I originally bought this for my 3 year old daughter, but my four year old son really enjoys watching it as well.
For those of you who are unaware, Pocoyo is a little boy in blue, who is incredibly curious. He has friends who help him out throughout the pprogramme, there is Pato the Duck, who is about Pocoyos age, Elle the elephant who is older than Pocoyo, Sleepy bird, who, strangely, sleeps all the time, and the Dog Loula. Loula is the only character who is an animal and acts like an animal, which can be a little strange.
This Dvd is quite fun to watch with your child, it is quite amusing, especially some of the faces Pocoyo pulls. It is all quite realistic as well, every characteristic you can recognise in your children, although they probably dont see it. The good thing is, not only is Pocoyo curious, he can also be a bit naughty, but then he is shown the error of his ways!
There isn't dialogue as such as Pocoyo only knows a couple of words, so instead it is narated by Stephen Fry, who talks to Pocoyo throughout, and tries to help him along the way.
This dvd holds the following episodes: Table of Fun Keep Going Pocoyo Wheres Pocoyo Drummer Boy The Great Rce Dont Touch Mystery Footprints Magical Watering Can Twinkle Twinkle Hiccup Pato's Postal Service Puppy Love and Bat & Ball.
Each episode is an individual, and not linked to the otheres in anyway, which is quite handy as you can watch them as and when you like, skipping to the bits you want.
This is the most basic of DVDs, you can only play the whole thing, or select the program you want, there are no other special features, but then the children dont really need them.
One problem I have found with this is the children can get bored with it, they will watch it for about 10 minutes, but that is enough.
The website is still in the making at the moment, but htere is already some great stuff on it, especially print outs, so if your children like Pocoyo, or if you want to find out more about it, then visit www.pocoyo.com.
