I have never watched such a remarkable and outstanding film before or after watching the pirates of the Caribbean. The title, Pirates of the Caribbean, didn’t draw me to the film as much as the under title “the curse of the black pearl”. After being drawn into this amazing one of a kind film by the title the storyline caught me. The plot consist of a hilarious quick witted pirate, Jack Sparrows,(played by Johnny Depp) teaming up with a good hearted man Will Turner, (played by Orlando Bloom) to search and rescue the governor’s daughter Elizabeth Swan ( Keira Kinghtley) who has been kidnapped by the captain of the Back Pearl, Captain Barbossa. Captain Barbossa and his crew are cursed, not to live or not to die, leaving not many chances for jack and will to rescue Elizabeth easily. The plot is entertaining, different and like chewing gum for you eyes. Not once could I move off my seat until the movie had finished, or even bring myself to press the pause button.
After being released in august 2003 the film has had over 26 winning awards and 58 nominations, these mirror the remarkable action film, The film won awards like, top box office films, best edited feature film and best family film, proving it to be the must see family film of the year.
The film, personally had no disadvantages, although many advantages, This is the type of film that you can watch over and over again and not be bored at all. The film also shows Johnny Depp at his best, and shows what a terrific actor he really is. The running time of the film is 143 mins, which really simply isn’t enough, the action packed film only bring moans when the film has finished, because it has finished. Walt Disney pictures have really out done themselves this time.

I see you've posted this as a DVD review, but you've not mentioned the DVD. Are there any extras? If so, what are they and are they any good? If you add to this, or if you change it to be posted as a "Film Only" review, which can be done by accessing "edit review" above the review and changing the drop down menu under the "Which format are you reviewing?" question at the bottom, please let me know and I'll re-rate.

If you are reviewing the film and not the Dvd change the 'format that you are reviewing'! Great film i do agree.
