off. In this case, Pink, looking like Wendy O. Williams in black eyeliner and blond crop, is captured in one London show, circa December 2006, rather than in highlights from several. Since the first live DVD, she released her fourth album. There is, naturally, some overlap between the two videos--notably, "Trouble" and "God Is a DJ"--but the singer adds several songs fromI'm Not Dead, like the title track, "U + Ur Hand," and "Stupid Girls." This time, however, there are no covers, except for a nod to "Sweet Dreams Are Made of This" during "Get the Party Started." Along with her talented troupe of backing dancers, she busts plenty of moves herself, particularly on the flamenco-flavored "There You Go." Then, on "Fingers," she ups the ante with death-defying Cirque Du Soleil-style acrobatics while suspended above the stage. There's also a lot of strong singing, although she must surely be lip-syncing during "Fingers" (it's hard to carry a tune while doing somersaults in the air), and her voice does start to abandon her during "What's Up." Fortunately, the audience helps out by joining in on the chorus. Pink confirms her versatility by performing "The One That Got Away" and "Dear Mr. President" in acoustic mode. And the number of costume changes--around a dozen--would surely turn Cher green with envy.--Kathleen C. Fennessy

To date she has apparently sold near to 23 million albums (a figure found on wikipedia)
Around the same time as her rise to stardom, we also had the likes of Britney Spears and Christina Aguilera, but Pink has shown she has more staying power than the rest, as she continues to make great music- with the same popularity as when she first started out.

Other artists similar to Pink are Avril Lavigne and Kelly Clarkson, so thats a rough idea of the type of sound and music you'll here on this DVD.
-=+The Story behind the DVD+=-
The concert was part of Pink's world tour, and was filmed towards the end of 2006, The DVD was released in April 2007. The concert was a massive success and all the tickets were sold, It was filmed over two nights of her 'I'm not Dead tour' If you want a taster of what to expect without buying the DVD, a compilation of clips from the concert is available to watch through the video for her single- 'Leave Me Alone I'm Lonely'
Its just short of 94 minutes in length and packed with her biggest singles and some album tracks, that aren't so well known.
Not only is Pink (real name- Alicia Moore) the performer- she's also the Executive Producer- seems she's a very talented lady!
As its a music DVD, its exempt from classification- but be warned there is the odd swear word in some of the songs, so it may be worth playing it to young kids with a bit of caution.
The DVD is typical Pink in her rock sound, as its dark and funky. It shows some photo's from the show- giving you a rough idea of some of what to expect.
-=+The Price+=-
The DVD has been released on the 'La Face' label and is available in most music stores, and selected DVD shops.
At the moment it is on special offer in HMV for 9.99- if you order online, that is delievered. In Virgin Megastores, its 15pounds and Amazon is doing it for 10.50- wherever you purchase it from, you shouldn't expect to pay anymore than 15pounds.
I tend to judge a music DVD though on its longevity rather than the price- I don't mind paying if I can be guaranteed to watch it over and over again and I definately will watch this one again and again.

-=+The Pink Experience!+=-
Pink really does know how to put on a show! She bursts into the Arena and the crowd starts cheering! Throughout the show, Pink changes into various outfits- making sure it never gets boring watching her- she must change at least 15 times from small skimpy outfits- to a bikini set- to a full lenth gown. The concert is full of lights, dancing and energy. She performs with a live band, dancers and backing vocalists, She interacts with her dancers, at points going over to them and doing a routine with them, she also approaches the musicians and sings by the side of them.
Theres something for everyone on here too, as she flits from RnB to Rock with some pop sounds thrown in.
Pink manages the art of dancing and singing at the same time perfectly, she concentrates more on singing live than dancing- but still manages to get some moves in! She sings note perfect, at one point she is spinning through the air- and still manages to sing perfectly! This in my opinion makes Pink one of the best live performers of today, as so many artists have to mime in order to put on a good show, Pink sings live and still wow's the audience.
There's some fun elements of the show, especially when she performs her hit, 'Stupid Girls' The song is aimed at her American rivals, Britney and Christina and other similar acts- she comes out dressed up as a more manufactured pop star and her dancers are dressed in outfits representing Britney and others.
Rather than sticking to the usual radio edits of a single, Pink puts an interesting twist to some of her songs- her hit, God is a DJ- which in my opinion is miles better than the original album version- is more acoustic and the vocals are very clear and polished- she also shows off some fancy dancing- using a chair!
At one stage during the concert, Pink uses a large net to dance in- they lift her up high into the air, and inside the net, she is sat in the splits position, whilst still belting out the song.
The only downside, in my opinion, was when she performed her album track- 'Dear, Mr President' in an acoustic moment. Pink is very political and has strong views, she seems to be a supporter of world peace and is very open about the fact she supports lots of causes such as animal fur, Fox Hunting and animal cruelty. While she performs this songs she sits on a stool with a backing singer and a guitarist and performs this song, which is a ballad and is all about the war in Iraq. Behind Pink during this performance is three screens which show images of The American president and some rather disturbing images of the devastation in Iraq and some of the soldiers out there fighting. Its not a massive downside, but the concert had been so energetic and happy upto that point, and although the song is very good- i'm not sure if I would have not preferred it to have been left out of the show.
Another slow feature is the song, Nobody knows, where the concert is toned down and Pink shows off her vocal range, while performing this ballad. She looks the best in this scene too- in a long black dress, with no fancy footwork- just excellent singing and a few spotlights illuminating her.
My favourite performance was the one where 'U and ur hand' is sang- The song opens with her dancers banging on big drums, while the stage is darkened with a deep blue light. Eventually Pink appears from behind big curtains and the stage is flooded with a bright yellow light. She's dressed in barely there leather on a motorbike.
Another favourite of mine, was 'Just like a pill' mostly because its my favourite song she has done. She lays across the stage on this song- until it hits the chorus where she goes down the runway into the crowd and lays there instead!
In the final finale, Pink adds in a section of the hit, 'Sweet dreams are made of this' which leads into the song, 'Get the party started' At this point she begins to sing and dance using long ribbons coming down from the ceiling- At one point she swings out on them into the audience- this is some talent being able to do those types of acrobats, and its amazing how she does it with such grace- when she's clearly just learnt the skill for her tour, Throughout this final bit of the show- I couldn't take my eyes of the tv screen- It's worth buying this DVD- if only for this one song!
-=+Extra Features+=-
On the DVD is also a ten minute documentary following pink on the Road- during the ten minutes Pink personally talks to the camera behind the scenes of her tour.
-=+Overall+=-
If you call yourself a PInk fan, then you should own this! and if you don't class yourself as a fan- i'd defy you not to enjoy this DVD anyway! Its a truly original concert and well worth getting if its something with a long life span you are after.
WOW is all that can be said for this superb Rock Chic. From start to finish you'll be tapping your feet and beating the air drums to over 20 ov her hits & covers. From the moment she walks out until the electric wire finale you will only wish that you had been there in person.....just like I did. As for her voice, she proves that un like so many others before her that you CAN sing live & dance at the same time. You would be hard pushed at times to ...
